We were 2 nights in this hotel. On arrival we got the twin room which is big as described 'Superior Twin', however it does not have any window so we asked for another room with window. We got the room 606 on the 6th floor, but it is not a twin room, it is a room with a double bed. We went straight to bed but due to the noisy airconditioning unit we could not sleep. We complained and then we got another room, a double bedroom next to the lift on the 5th floor with a little river view on the corner of our tiny window. The rooms are relative big and clean, the bed is more like a king-sized bed and not a small double bed. Our room is next to the lift, but fortunately the lift is very quite so we were quite happy with the third bedroom. For breakfast you get a voucher which you present to the cafe next door on the first floor. The choice of breakfast is quite limited, but you can choose the one breakfast you prefer: from noodle soup to bread & jam, etc... The location of the hotel is the best in My Tho as you can walk only 2 minutes to the central market and you can also walk along the Mekong river for sightseeing. This hotel has also a restaurant and a cafe next door. For the scale between 1 and 10 points I can give this hotel 8 points for its location, its good-sized bedrooms, services, etc... Unfortunately I cannot give 9 or 10 points for this hotel due to the lacking of a computer for free internet connection and also due to the smoking policy of the hotel (smell of cigarette smoking in the hotel).
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip: The location of this hotel is perfect for the visit of My Tho: Go to the market, take boat trips to the islands, sightseeing along the Mekong river, Enjoy the noodle soup 'Hu-Tieu My-Tho' which is special noodle soup of this town MyTho... By the way, don't forget the food 'Ca Tai Tuong' (in English: Elephant Ear Fish) and 'keo dua' (Coconut sweet bonbon) and 'ruou dua' (coconut wine).

Room Tip: Rooms with riverview are the best rooms, but choose only rooms without the noise of the Air-conditio...

This concerns the Song Tien Hotel, not the Annex... Good location, a neat and clean room w/ac but the service was, as titled, pretentious, dubious and lacked flexibility. For instance, they wanted to hold on to the roomkeys ONLY the time when they knew how long we'd be away (when we went on a tour of the neighbouring islands). Nothing was missing or wrong when we got back but after that I felt constantly suspicious about their motives. Then, we needed to check reservation info concerning the same hotel but their wi-fi didn't work properly so we asked to use one of theirs to sort out a misunderstanding but they declined. And again we didn't intend to use their computer to Facebook or watch videos but to sort out reservation info. Finally, we intended to pay w/ $ but they didn't accept 1$ bills of which they infoed us as we were checking out. Currency is currency unless notified beforehand. Left a bad taste in my mouth.

In January, I and my fiancé checked in this hotel with 21 guests from Switzerland, Germany, Canada, US, Thailand. For our wedding party in My Tho city. We came back to the hotel room after the party,we found out we lost my jewellery which cost 800$, that's my fault to leave the jewellery in the room when we went out. And there aren't any security cameras around . But the hotel manager didn't have any sign to help us to find the thief, she doubts my group members, i am sure just only staff can get into our room with the key. We reported to the police and they couldn't ( or wouldn't) do anything.
I am a Vietnamese and i am very embarrassed about this, but i want to tell to you- tourist, to know: there is a thief in this hotel. The rooms are very nice and comfortable. I wouldn't tell you to not stay in this hotel, but beware your belongings! And if anything happen, nobody in this hotel shows any responsibility.

We went to Song Tien Hotel to look for a cheaper alternative to another hotel along 30/4 street, and thank god for that. We stayed in a double-bed room for 350 000 dong for a night, which included breakfast for both of us. The rooms were luxurious-looking, and they offered a full suite of conveniences, such as a hot water boiler, coffee cups, sanitised glasses, toothbrushes, combs, etc. The beds were large and comfortable, similar to those you can find in a 3 or 4 star hotel (depends on which country you're in). The bathroom was big and clean, with a bathtub set in one side. There were even bathrobes in the wardrobe. There is a great view of the river from the corridor and the cafe at level 6, where breakfast and other drinks are served. Breakfast is either a decent bowl of noodles (with some small prawns) or the usual baguette.

350 000 was an excellent price for a hotel of such standard, and I'll recommend it to anyone spending the night in My Tho. However, the hotel brochure available at reception stated its prices to be 30USD and 40USD for the 2 types of rooms they have. If I'm not mistaken, they're having a soft opening, so be sure to grab hold of it while its still available. According to a private tour operator by the river who speaks excellent english, the hotel was recently renovated and reopened.

We eventually arrived at the song tien having sampled some of the competition (namely the tradeunion hotel whose rooms looked like those of a recently 'vacated' hospice's.). At this point i must stress we stayed in the newer & smaller song tien, which has more charecter and style (we saw both hotels). The rooms are spacious, very clean and well furnished. We paid 350.000 per night (although i believe the regular price is 400), and werent sure how they could offer a 'luxury' room for 450 . I will also mention the two rickshaw cyclers whose names as far as i can recall are nib and car, and-though u could never guess-are 71 and 50 respectively. They are well known to the hotel and will give u a great authentic tour of the local villages where u can explore the farm land and communities. Nib speaks great english and the two know everyone and everything in my tho. Definetly seek them out and avoid agency boat tours, which are overpriced tourist traps that will leave u angry and annoyed!!!
