@24 is a brand-new property just three minutes away from Robinson Ocean where homesick Westerners can find the Pizza Company and Swensen's. Rooms are of reasonable size but lighting is way too dim and the neon-colour décor ridiculously "provincial". Judging from my experience, the proprietor doesn't seem to know how to run a hotel.
First, "superior", its cheapest room category, denotes those on the ground floor. Unless you prefer a noisy dungeon, do yourself a favour by paying extra for a "standard" room upstairs, accessible by a lift although there's a symbol suggesting that only obese people should use it, which brings me to my second point. The management somehow thinks stupid jokes, most related to internet memes, will entertain guests; but seriously who on earth would be talking about Gangnam Style or Harlem Shake in 2015? Rather, the owner should invest in staff training. The receptionists are some of the least helpful I have ever met in the Land of Smiles.
Breakfast is forgettable; you better join locals for dim sum and kopi though the best joints in town aren't within walking distance from @24.More
