Originally we were just looking for a place to stay before we can go to Koh Samui after landing in Suratthani airport (45min drive). But then after seeing these reviews and their website we thank god decided to stay for 3 nights.

This place is just lovely - the food is among the best we've ever had in Thailand - they staff is very very helpful - and Dagmar is always there to give you recommendations. The beach is empty, long and great and you can easily spend a week here. You can even see the pink dolphins here - we saw a huge one just 100m from the beach.

If you are up for relaxing this is a perfect place - if you look for nightlife then go somewhere else ;-)

I fully recommend this place - it is marvellous!

Room Tip: With kids go for the ones near the pool

We stayed at the Khanom Hill Resort from 3rd-8th June with our son/daughter in law and 2 month old grandson.
This is a high quality Hotel-definitely the best in the Khanom area and at a very reasonable price. We booked direct with the Hotel after referring to their website.
This is a small Hotel with blocks of one/two bedroom villas either side of the road which was not busy when we went..The Hotel has its own beach by the dining room/bar/reception.Our one bedroom villa with balancy was across the road from the main reception. It was very spacious, very clean and very well equiped(including free internet)with an adjacent small pool and jacuzzi. There are steps leading down to the main reception and dining room so it may not be suitable for wheelchair users.
The food at breakfast and evening was very good..A good choice and well prepared/cooked and served.
The hotel staff were excellent and very helpful throughout our stay.
We highly recommend this Hotel for its accommodation, staff and food in a beautiful area of Thailand.

Room Tip: Rooms across the road are newer.

A very nice resort. Very friendly staff. Good spacious bungalows on the hill side and near the beach with ac cable tv etc. Clean, small swimming pool but nice, good restaurant and breakfast. Only downer is that the resort is divided by the road. This actually doesnt matter because its not very busy.

We are a French family who spent few days in April 2013 in this resort with our two children and friends. It was a perfect place to rest. The hotel is owned and managed by Thum (a local Thai) and her family. It was a perfect and peacefull week. Thum organised every thing we wanted to have: massage, visit a local Thai market, see the pink dolphins (yesssss). The restaurant is definitively the best we have been in Thailand (endless possibility of dishes and flavours, outstanding staff, etc..).
If you have small kids, it is perfect as there is a second pool with 50 cm of water with a island in the middle.
The room were always clean everyday and the towel changed.
So, highly recommended!

Stayed here for 4 nights in September, was simply the best place I have ever stayed. Incredible food, lovely rooms, amazing service (massages, trips to see pink dolphins, trips to the local market). I cannot recommend it highly enough. One thing though, make sure if you're travelling through Surat Thani you book a transfer to the hotel. We got a bit lost there and found it an extremely unfriendly place.

We stayed at Khanom Hill Resort for 2 days - and we wish we would have stayed a few more!

The rooms were very beautiful and quite large, each having it's own private deck area. Beds were very comfortable!! Bathroom was very large for Thai standards and it did have hot water. We never got to the pool but it looked nice, small but nice. The restaurant was very nice with good food, and sat beach-side. The family that owns and runs it were so kind! They were very accommodating to our needs and were happy just to chat with us.

The hotel also has a motorbike rental and gives you directions and local advice on what to see and where to go. The also arrange massages you can get in an outside hut near the beach - very relaxing!

Beach was great, had soft sand. It was so quiet - less than 15 people on the very long beach! The rocks on one end cuts it off making it feel private. Ocean was great, sandy shallow for a bit then got deeper.

A great relaxing stay - just wish ours was longer!

Stayed at Khanom Hill resort 22 to 29 March

From the moment we were picked up from our previous hotel by Ra to the end of our 7 nights stay
everything about this place was lovely

This is a small family run hotel with real Thailand hospitality and friendliness, the family are always there if you need anything
Thum is in the restaurant most of the day chatting with guests ,checking to make sure everything is OK for you
The bungalow we stayed in was very good, close to the pools, the beach is just across the quiet road (no problem as not a busy road)
The restaurant on the beach is excellent , guests from other hotels can be seen eating here and also owners of other local hotels eat here
Ra and Wei give exceptional service, Wei makes great Gin & Tonics( including a straw!!)
There is a lovely surprise in the restaurant at the end of your stay
This was by far the best hotel we stayed in in Khanom and we hope to return as soon as possible
