I was looking for a place to escape with my partner for my birthday and was more than pleased with my choice of Bungalow No 4. The room was spacious, wooden floor, over-sized bathroom (low water pressure in the shower was a bit of a downside), comfy bed, everything was very clean. We loved to spent hours on the private terrace overlooking the ocean. Food was average, prices average. The beach is not very nice this time of the year, but this was no problem since we didn't go there for the beach. The area around the resort's beach chairs wasn't really inviting, the beach here needs a big clean up from plastic trash, cigarette buds and even glass.
If you look for something very individual with a kind of family run atmosphere, this is the place to go.
If you want a hotel with big pool and lot's of entertainment, and shopping possibilities better go to Samui or Phangan.

We were looking for somewhere to chill out and celebrate Xmas - and we found it!
What a great resort! If you are wanting some quiet time away from crowds, surrounded by friendly people in a beautiful setting - then this is definitely a place to visit.

We were a group of 3 adults and we stayed in one of the pool villas. There was plenty of room in the villa for the three of us, and it had everything you could want: it was very clean, had a great shower, clean, comfortable beds, tv, fridge, dvd player, room safe, small varandah with outdoor furniture and a peaceful quiet setting.

The swimming pool area is good, there is a private beach also. We mostly used the pool because the weather had stirred up the ocean a bit, but I am sure that when the weather is consistent the beach would be a great place to swim and relax.

The restaurant is excellent - we ate all of our meals there. We were very lucky to have been there for the Xmas Eve banquet meal and didn't stop talking about that 5 course meal for the rest of our time in Thailand.

The best part is the service - every person who works there is friendly, helpful and welcoming. Thum is the owner and she really does such a great job at making you feel welcome and organising anything that you need - airport pick up, ferry transfers, massages, scooter hire, laundry .. you name it, you can do it!

I would definitely recommend staying here and visiting this area of Thailand!

We found this hotel about 8 years ago and they had two wonderful thai style bungalows for about 1300 Baht. Now we went there again and wanted to stay several nights. But the bungalow smelled musty, the bed and even the towels were musty. We ordered new towels and they were musty again. It seems that it was not regularly ventilated. Cleaness was also not appropriate for a price of 2800 Baht (dirty toilet brush, bath room not so clean and the water cooker as well as the hair dryer were in a condition not attractive to use it). So we left after one night.
The new bungalows they build on the other side of the street are quite spacious and look better since they are new, but by far not as charming as the thai style bungalows and since you cannot darken them completely it was not attractive to us.
In general this area is far afield and if you have no car you may feel at the end of the world. The beach is ok (though dirty the day we arrived and cleaned the next day when we left), sand not very fine and the sea here often too rought to swim. Also the villages around do not offer much (even not attractive thai food, which you normally can get nearly everywhere in Thailand).
All in all the value for money can only be rated poor and we have no idea why it is priced as a four star hotel, though in fact being more close to 2-3 stars.

Just spent 5 nights here and found it a very pleasant experience. The staff were very efficient, courteous and friendly, the Thai food was excellent and very reasonably priced. It was so nice to spend some time away from the crowds in such a peaceful place. I would be very happy to holiday here again it is such a relaxing place!

We stayed at Khanom Hill resort for 6 nights during December 2012; It is far enough from the tourist 'beaten track' to be as close to 'undiscovered paradise' as you would get in Thailand.
Run by Thum (the Manager) and her extended family, this place is very well managed, with great attention to detail and to the guests' needs. Admittedly it is not cheap for Thailand, we paid about £75 (GBP) per night, but it is rather luxurious, we stayed in bungalow No. 5, in our opinion it is the most private, closest to it's own 'private' beach, it is immaculately clean, good A/C, a fridge, brilliant shower, good quality cotton bed-linen and towels, and the most magical view of the ocean from the bed (!). The area is quiet, not that much to do other than relax on the beach and eat in the resort's restaurant which is by far one of the best we have experienced in Thailand. They do look after you very well here, hire a moped or a car, go away for the day, dolphin watching, local markets... very helpful team. Will go back any day.

Room tip: Go for bungalow No. 5, very private and great views.
