I heard about this activity and I looked it up on it's website www.treetopadventureph.com/subic/subic-home.html.
The best time to come is in the morning. We arrived just before 10am and was able to catch up with the group going on the (basic) Tree Top Adventure package. This consists of first walking through the rainforest with guides who will describe the various plant life around. Then we were given a taste of living in this environment as one of the guides described how they use the bamboo for eating utensils and for making fire. This took approximately an hour. For another hour, we took the Canopy Ride, which consisted of two halves; a walk over four suspension bridges and then the four rides wherein you hang over the trees which are from 40 to 80 feet beneath the rider. You may take either of the activities first but I suggest walking first. During this activity, you will notice how conscious they are about safety as all participants are required to wear the appropriate harness and helmet and that you are hooked to the safety lines at all times. We also observed their environmental awareness as they used clamps to fasten the structures to the trees instead of drilling holes.
There are other rides, like the Superman Ride, which my wife and daughter went on. For around ten seconds, you are suspended horizontally 100 feet above the rain-forest floor and are hurtled forward then backward. The time-frame actually is lacking as the participant will want more; but you will have to pay again for the activity. I thought the canopy ride was scarier because it was slower and you could visibly discern how deep it was below.
Please do not arrange your program thru the clarksubicmarketing website. They will not provide all the information and will tell you that you can only pay in cash (without providing a receipt if you do not ask for one). It is best to go straight to the site and pay directly to the cashier.
