Pacific Breeze Hotel & Resort

I have stayed here a number of times over the years when visiting this town just outside of Clark airport in Pampanga province. Although I have checked out other hotels in town, I always come back to the Pacific Breeze. In my opinion, the combination of excellent customer service, very good management, a great restaurant open 24 hours, and a very central but protected location within the town; all combine to make this your overall best choice. In your guest room, you will have virtually everything you need. Hotel security is excellent, and I have used the travel agency in the lobby. The hotel management & staff are great in anticipating and answering your questions about vacationing in this most unusual town.

I have always found the staff here to be friendly and personable. They go out of their way to remember your first name. They always make me feel welcome. Good hospitality has regularly been extended to me by these folks, making me a loyal customer of the Central Park company in the Philippines.

While other hotels in the vicinity may be newer, have larger swimming pools, or have newer furnishings in their guest rooms, I have always found my rooms here to be quite comfortable and functional. The air conditioning works well, and the rooms all have good ceiling fans over the beds. The executive rooms have large refrigerators, decent TV's and DVD players. They have free internet too. The main building has free wi fi.

The Pacific Breeze will coordinate your airport pickups and drop-offs at either Clark airport or down in Manila. They use drivers who are very good. While in town, they will ensure you are treated fairly by trike drivers who you engage at the hotel for short hops around the immediate area.

If you travel the Philippines and other parts of Asia for fun or holiday, you should come here and let these nice folks take care of you for a most enjoyable and memorable visit.

Room Tip: Personally, I prefer to be located in the main building.

I stayed here three years ago, and nothing has changed. This hotel is now in serious need of an upgrade, and what is offered does not warrant the 40-60US$ room rates.
Firstly the positives:-
The hotel staff are fabulous (although Annie would not let me have complementary breakfast with my tour colleagues because I booked online!). I was there for an extra week, but went elsewhere (Valentino's Hotel - see separate report), so guess who was the loser?
Location is great for 'Fields' night life.
Love the 24 hour bar/cafe.
Negatives:-
Some rooms have no 'natural' light! Other rooms have windows, but they cannot be opened.
Black out is not very effective as morning light penetrates above the curtain rail.
There is no hairdryer.
No wifi in the annex.
If you wish to walk from the annex to the main wing there is not cover, so you need an umbrella (staff should be able to provide this).
Ground surface is dirty rough cobble, which gets flooded. Why can they just concrete this section in between the two wings?
No tea & coffee making facility in the room
Limited TV channels
Old 'box style' TVs
Very small bottles of water (less than 500mls) cost Ps50. Same as 5 litres at the supermarket!
The Hotel boast their large safes, but you would struggle to put anything bigger than a 13" computer in there.

In conclusion, if an upgrade is not planned soon, this hotel need to reduce its rate by about one third.

Newer & better hotels in the vicinity are plentiful.

Room Tip: Avoid room overlooking the road & the strip between both wings. Motorcycles constantly revving a...

I recently returned from the Philippines two weeks ago and stayed at Pacific Breeze. The staff and Hotel exceeded ANY and ALL expectations i could have imagined. My stay there was for 16 days and after the thrid day it seemed like the entire staff knew me and went out of there way to ensure daily that I was happy with the accomodations. The security there was great ( an added bonus) very pleasant to chat with and helpful in terms on how to get around town and where to go. Finally just unpacked the other day and have already booked my return trip for next month and will be staying at the BEST hotel in AC the PACIC BREEZE.

The hotel is almost in the middle of Fields Avenue with the convinence of everything around it. I've been staying at this hotel every time I have come to AC and have never been dissapointed. The service at this hotel gets better and better everytime I stay. The staff is very nice and attentive and for some reason they all remember you even when you haven't been back for awhile which makes it a very friendly place to return to after a night out in town. The rooms are comfortable and the only knock is that the room furniture is a bit dated. The central location of the hotel also makes it very easy to meet up with your friends. Security is also very good as they remember ingoing and outgoing patrons so no trouble happens.

The food, drinks, and room service are all reasonably priced and taste as tasty. If the food at the hotel isn't your thing, there are many restaurants all within a 5 minute walking distance to the hotel.

There are many new hotels springing up in AC but I would more than likely return here for the service.

Room Tip: The Oahu Annex Wing seems to be a good location with less foot traffic than the main building.

A truly surprising quiet oasis in a sea of chaos. Outstanding service and friendliness by all members of the staff. Obviously well trained and could not be faulted. The Hotel is spotlessly clean, rooms are comfortable and everything works. Great pool and restaurant with lovely food and service - particularly Faye.Close to all the bars and clubs but no noise and beautifully maintained.
Highly recommend for visitors to the area. We are frequent visitors and will stay here every time now.

Room Tip: I didn't see the older building which is cheaper but the newer block is excellent. We stayed in...

Its one of the hotels which you will have a peace of mind as in regards to the security. Their safe boxes are Laptop friendly and big enough to accommodate a laptop 14.1"... A Digital SLR(Nikon D90),A Speedlite Flash, Your wallet, PSP.... etc.... If you have guest they will only be able to access to your room with your permission as the receptionist will call your room prior to allowing anyone accessing your room. They you may need to accompany them to avoid your guest from being retained at the entrance....

Its comfortable and within the walking distance to the nearest party street... Quiet and peaceful unlike some of the hotels along the main street...

It was a good trip and stay there we had...
