-The rooms are large, but the ac blows cold air right at the bed. We had no comfy chairs, no phone, no tv, and only one night table with a reading light. The second night table carried a small fridge.
-Our room had a nice, large terrace.
-We had to battle many flies and mosquitos, and one night we found a tjitjak in our bed.
-The resort is right at the black pebbles beach, but the location is isolated: no restaurants, laundy, cafes, or shops in the area, and it is a steep walk up the hill to the main road (where nothing much is to be found).
-The staff is very lazy. Never seen such a bunch! They sit in the shade of a bungalow, and talk loudly, play with their cellphones, or stare at girls at the pool.
-The snorkeling, that’s why we were here, is nice, but not great. The Liberty wreck lies rather deep. With high tide, the beach is small, and it is hard to get into the water. You need watershoes for sure, and you will get bruised and scratched. You’ll see beautiful fish, but not as nice as in other places in Bali. Most people are here for diving. Groups of Chinese divers will occupy tables at the restaurant all day.
-The restaurant is slow but pretty good, with the usual Asian and Western favorites. The waiter who totally did not understand our order of ‘two large beers’, not even when we pointed it out on the menu, was hilarious. He totally had no clue. Man, it’s just beer. Bring us beer!

-Positives: nice resort, right at the ocean.
-Scale 1-10: 7.
-Will we ever return? Probably not.

Stayed for 3 nights and enjoyed some great dives and snorkelling - the grounds are lovely and you can relax by either of the two pools. The restaurant serves tasty meals at reasonable prices The onsite dive school was excellent with very competent and knowledgeable staff.

Spent three weeks at Ocean View this past March.(2017) for diving and underwater photography. It was my third stay there in the last four years. The deluxe rooms are big, clean, and comfortable. Great staff, both at the hotel and the dive shop. Wouldn't stay anywhere else.

Room tip: Deluxe close to the pool.

It's exactly what you expect in paradise. Clean very welcoming. Everyone is wanting to please you. Can't wait to go back. Hopefully another month The restaurant staff became like family as well as the office staff the dive guides.

Room tip: Not a bad room in the place

Great location just 20m to the seaside, No TV and poor wifi connection on 2nd floor rooms. Air-con is not working properly and always feel hot at night when outside is pretty cool in balcony. Hotel is nice with 2 swimming pools but not that luggage-friendly as too many stairs from reception to rooms.
