Easy to get from the beatch, american wreck from 2nd world war, strong distroyed. Easy to get so great for starting diving adventure as DSD PADI. to be honest was better in egipt, to get it from the second side of the inlad - Kuta around 2,5 - 3 hours with a car.
Good to go with expirience local who can show best places. Strange that local girls are getting heavy bottles on the head.

Thank ted k

Thank you for your comment and glad to hear you had a good time in Tulamben.

We always recommend to spend the night on location rather than doing the 2.5 hours trip from South Bali.

2 dives on arrival, optional night dive, then overnight and 2 dives the day after. Much more convenient,

About the girls with the tanks on the head, we had the same feeling at the beginning.

They are the porters which work on the wreck, they help divers to carry tanks, equipment etc.

It's just cultural, they do a few hours of work and they know how to balance the weight, they have some towels which they fold in a special way...

I know it looks strange but it's one of the characteristic which most of the divers remember if they have been diving on the wreck...

Thanks once again for the comment and hope to see you again!

Happy and Safe diving!

I have been diving several times in Bali but it was the first time with Bali Diving Academy and I was positively surprised by the excellent organization and the variety of the dive sites they can offer. They have 5 dive centers so we could plan to dive in 3 different locations (Lembongan, Tulamben and Pemuteran). They organized everything: airport pick up, transfers, accommodations and obviously diving. We were lucky to chose the best period because we saw Mola mola (moon fish) and manta rays in Nusa Penida and lots of critters in Tulamben, Secret bay and Puri Jati. They have also a secret macro dive site just 5 minutes by boat in Pemuteran
In Tulamben we dived for 5 days doing 2-3 dives a day and we could sleep in the tents for free. Tents are very basic but I love camping. They have also toilets and showers. It's a great idea for people who wants to dive but have a low budget. In the morning when we woke up the staff offered us coffee and tea and we were ready for diving! The divemasters are very professional and excellent spotters. We have seen pygmy sea horses, arlequin shrimps, boxer crabs, lots of colourful nudibranches, shrimps and crabs, ribbon morey eel, and some many other creatures. Groups are very small maximum 4 per guide, but most of the time we were alone with the guide.
I just recommend to people who don't like adventure to avoid to sleep in tents and choose a homestay or hotel.

Thank you very much for your comment!

Yes, the idea of the tents started because at times we have divers with lower budget, which would rather spend money on activities than in accommodation.

As our Diving Center is located on a big piece of land, beach front, we experimented it ourselves and... just loved it!

That's why we decided to buy a few tents which can be used for free by our divers. They are basic but you don't need much in Tulamben. When you wake up and you see such a beautiful view... you are in paradise!

Thank you once again and hope to see you again!!

Happy Diving
