We stayed 8 nights in Villa Bima with 2 families of 2 adults and 2 kids each all under 5. The staff were always more than courteous and happy and extremely welcoming. The villa itself is lovely, we rented as the 3 bedroom and adjoining office which we only used 2 rooms out of the 4. Our children all bunking in with us which was ok as the rooms are all very spacious and was easier to keep the mosquitos away with the coils and doors closed at all times..we had a few electricity blackouts, which the manager was always helpful about and quick to rectify with a generator. The pool and villa were cleaned every morning and breakfast cooked in our villa which we paid for the ingredients.we had a motorbike which was handy
as the lane way to villa is a good 150-200 metres to the main street of jalan laksmana. The villa is in a great location to some some great restaurants. Breakfast, the grocer and grind was a hit. Another cake which was great was within the deus store. Mini marts are at your doorstep and the money changer next to lane way is very trusting. Overall villa bima was awesome. Thanks to Ketut, Kardak and staff.

where do i start... we stayed at villa mango & it was amazing. the photos don't do the place justice, it was even nicer then what the web advertises! i wanted somewhere clean as i was traveling with young kids & villa mango was perfect. clean, spacious (huge rooms & bathrooms) & the staff were better then fantastic - always wanting to help & so so so friendly, my kids loved our hostess Putu - she was unbelievable - she cooked breakfast every morning & dinner on nights we requested which we got at a really good price & really tasty.
the only downside is the drive to the villa - when we first started going into the alley ways i was thinking to myself OMG where are we going??? roads/alleys are not the best & i wouldn't want to go walking by myself at night as some parts of these walkways have no lights... that having been said we always went with someone else & the villa provides you with torches so we took them with us if we needed to pop out at night. 5 min walk to Bintang supermarket which is on main street where heaps of shops & restaurants available. also lots of taxis there.... sometimes taxis don't know how to get to villa so we use to just get dropped off at bintang supermarket & walk as so close.
we will go back to villa mango for sure

Our first impression of the service of the villa staff wasn't fabulous as 8 of us were stranded at the airport at 10pm with only one small car to transport all of us and our bags, even after we had confirmed the week prior the number arriving. The problem was quickly sorted and we were taken to our villa. My experience has normally been to view the photos on villa websites, and then reduce your expectations but about a third; however I was pleasantly surprised to see that the photos hadn't done Villa Saphir justice. The villa, in the group of Drupadi Gardens, was amazing and the stunning pool was the highlight. We had a fabulous week relaxing by it and was our salvation from the heat and humidity.

The staff were friendly and very helpful over our week at the villa. We took the option of having them cook us dinner on one night, and it was ok food, but it certainly wasn't as fabulous as some of the other reviews I have read about other cooks at different villa complexes.

The biggest downfall with a bigger group of friends (or strength if you wanted to just stay in the villa) was its location in Seminyak. It was a good 10 min walk to Eat Street, and a definite taxi ride to most other places. There was nothing else other than rice paddies surrounding the villas. This would have been the best villa is it was a closer to the main Seminyak area.

Not many taxis knew about the villa, so be sure that there is one person with a good sense of direction who is tasked with directing taxis. Security was non existent, we saw the supposed 'guard' asleep on most occasions that we walked past.

The massages at the villa were very good, and it was easy to book them in each day. The office staff for Villa Bugis were also very helpful in booking dinner locations and transport for us.

Overall the villa was amazing and the staff were very helpful, but I would probably stay somewhere closer to the action if we were to go again. This villa would be ideal for groups who wanted to relax by the pool and in the villa for their trip.

we stayed in Villa Jacklan and when we got in the villa we were so happy to find it was even better that the pictures on the villa bugis website. the staff had us a cool beer ready each on arrival they showed us round and then left us to settle in (the staff are helpful and there if you need them but not intrusive). Everything worked aparted for the internet which they sorted out immediatly. 24 hour security guards outside. walking distance to the beach and resturants bars etc. if you are going away with friends Seminyak is the best choice its 10 mins in a cab form Kuta where all the big clubs are and far enought way to not be smothered.

things to do:
JL Legin st for clubs and bars
Seminyak beach for boggy boarding and suffing
vist to Ubub to Money forest and rice fields
Turtle conservation in Sunar (DO NOT CONFUSE THIS WITH TURTLE ISLAND IN NUSA DUA the turtle island is a horrible place which expolits the turtles. when we turned up there by mistake we were horrified lots ot dead turtles in the tank of baby ones. the adult turles are just left for tourists to handle and i saw one torist pick up a big one and then drop it on the ground. the turtle conservation how ever is a small orgainsation of good people dedicated to helping turtles in Bali you will feel like you have made a difference if you visite here and make a donation.

beware of:
Small money exchages only use the big ones we got £60 stolen right from under our noses.
cab drivers they will all try and rip you off by saying they wont put the meter on - just hold out for one that will as there are hundred of cabs.

these villa are idea for party's of around 6 people we are all ages 23-27 and it had everything we wanted and more.
