Overall we enjoyed our stay at Villa Santai and the staff were all wonderful. The Villa itself is very well maintained and the gardens and pool also well kept and a great size. Kitchen/Dining/TV areas also big and comfortable. Good size bedroom and bathrooms. Airport pick up and return went very smoothly. We did however have a few of things which did spoil our stay.

The workmen next door did start before 7.30am hammering and banging stuff around which when you are on holidays is very annoying. We did not mind the noise during the day however they should not start before 9.00am when the villa is occupied. One night they did not finish work until 10.00pm which also was rather unacceptable. We did also experience dogs barking through the night and early in the morning.

The security guards would talk and laugh all night keeping the guests in the bungalows awake. This did stop after the 2nd night when we mentioned it to the staff. It was great however to have them at our door, it made us feel completely safe.

The air conditioning was very poor in the bedrooms, everyone complained they sweating during the night so it was all the bedrooms. I think the filters need cleaning.

The mosquitoes are also very bad in the bedrooms with open bathrooms. They do have mosquito nets for the beds which are very necessary and the staff come and light mosquito coils each night.

Breakfast each morning was wonderful and the staff would go and do our shopping for us each day which was fantastic. We didn't have to carry heavy shopping bags of drinks. They even went to the pharmacy for us when one member got sick.

Even though we had a couple of things go wrong I would stay again as the villa and the service are wonderful.

Room Tip: Great villa just check they don't have any work in the villa next door before booking and to cle...

This was our second visit to Villa Kebun in 8 months which is an indication of how much we enjoyed our first stay!

We met my husband's mother there who travelled from England and stayed at the Villa for 2 weeks with our children (3.5 and 1.5 years). Again, we were blown away by the venue - the gorgeous rooms, open plan living, huge pool, landscaped gardens, wonderful staff and convenience to all the local amenities.

Due to the nervousness of having an active toddler and an unfenced pool, we opted to have a temporary pool fence installed for our stay (offered at an additional cost through the villa) and it provided the extra security required to ensure our piece of mind.

The staff remembered us from our first visit and were very kind to our children again. They were incredibly gracious, helpful and seemed genuinely happy to see us!

In summary, we had a relaxing, highly enjoyable stay at Villa Kebun with our children and extended family. We will be returning as soon as we can!

We stayed in Villa Dharma of the Villa Bugis properties. This 5 bedroom villa was great for our group of three families with small children. The location was central and it was easy to get around from this location in Seminyak. The staff were super friendly and attentive to all our needs, from making breakfast, to cleaning around the children's nap times and even assisting to get a police report for a lost phone. The facilities were good with baby cots, pool fence additional options. Didnt have any problems with dogs or noise as mentioned in some other reviews. Highly recommended.

stayed for two weeks in May 2013. Great Villa, all the staff and securtiy were very friendly and attended to any of our needs. Location was great once we worked it out half between the beach and Jalan Seminyak.Rooms big, bends very comfortable and the pool was awesome !

A couple of small issues.... The WIFI sucked ! Alaways dropping out or couldn't get on i think they need to update their plan as i get the feeling all of the villas were on the one WIFI and once more people logged on it got worse and worse.

Also we had a pool table and the cues were crap! They need to invest in some new cues so you could actually play a proper game.

Other than that couldn't really fault it we had a great time and enjoyed our home away from home for 2 weeks

The pro's:
- Location to the beach
- Great pool temperature
- Ample number of sun loungers (2 per room)
- excellent mosquito nets in rooms
- good laundry service nearby.

The con's:
- aggressive noisy local neighbours
- loud barking dogs immediately over the villa fence which bark throughout the night and disturb your rest
- a service lane next to the wall of the master suite which motorcycles zoom through during the night
- ample supply of Mosquitos at night (the villa doesn't appear to have been smoked)
- awful smell from the septic tank.

Good value for money if you're out all night and are not going to be there to hear the noise and keep you awake.

Good value villa with a lovely pool. Very much self service apart from breakfast and daily cleaning but appropriate for the price. Sadly the dogs barking and aggressive sounding neighbours swearing in the early hours of the morning ruined it for us.

We stayed here May 19th thru to June 02nd, 2013. It is a 10 min walk to Jalan Seminyak, come out right next to Bintang Supermarket and Cafe Seminyak. Same time to beach, once we found the way to the beach. Just ask any of the locals as you walk, and they are happy to direct you.ZThe beach is awesome, it has a La Plancha beach bar, where you can have tapas and other foods, and at sunset they pull out beanbags and beautiful umbrellas to set the mood. The lanes are pretty well lit, however, there is just one little stretch which is a little dark coming back from Jalan Seminyak. The laneways (gangs as known in Bali) are just villa after villa, so each villa has security out the front, and at no time did we feel scared walking at night. You can sometimes hear the distant doof doof, but its not enough to keep you awake, put it this way, after a day in the sun, eating, shopping, we were so tired nothing could keep us awake. The villa itself is very clean, spacious, there is no cooling in main house area, but its not too much of an issue, the pool is big, and so are the bedrooms. The only thing I can request is that they have more mosquito coil holders on hand, as we reverted to using saucers from the cups. The pool guy came every 2nd day, housekeeping every day, and if we needed anything, they were more than happy to assist. The security staff are wonderful, friendly and helpful. The housekeeping staff will also arrange your washing for you. I would recommend this villa to a large group, as the bedrooms are located away from the main living area and has a nice lawn area, a teppanyaki bar with stools to hang around if you wish.
