Description: Seminyak Beach front Restaurant Chez Gado Gado offers an exciting new concept in modern and contemporary European style dining in a relaxed, yet stylish environment. Surrounded by a beautiful outdoor deck dining area complete with pergola, Chez Gado Gado offers uninterrupted views across the Seminyak beach and Indian Ocean. It is a perfect setting for romantics and special occasions. Our cuisine can be described as eclectic with a mix of European and Indonesian an Asian items while offering a relaxed and casual service during lunch time. Dinner time provides a slightly more formal and professional service that matches its European style menu with local flavors. Chef Quirijn Rademaker proves his creativity by creating an innovative culinary journey with clean finishes. While we are a casual fine dining restaurant, proper attire such as shirt (no branded tank tops/singlets/T-shirt) and footwear, will be required in fairness to all of our guests. Bookings and reservations larger than 8 and no smoking requests will be prepared inside our dining room. Parties of 12 or more adults requires an assigned set menu so that the flow of service for all of our guests is not disrupted. Outside tables will require a reservation and will be set per weather permitting and space availability.

We ate at Gado Gado for dinner, it was spectacular and well priced for the standard for food and service. We had a bottle of wine, 2 cocktails and ate 5 courses - Aus $170 for two of us. Highly recommended.

Chez Gado Gado is just next door to our hotel at the Royal Beach Semninyak. They are smart casual. Their food is very good. They have nice view by the beach.

I wish i could say we enjoyed the food but we didnt! Very plain food, possibly got unlucky but i have to be honest and say it was very underwhelming. Beautiful atmosphere and position but after so much good food in Bali and great views everywhere, i cant say i will be back. It felt like an overpriced high end resort restaurant who dont care enough about their food taste - presentation - top notch. $75 AUD for a bottle of Shaw and Smith White wine didnt help the feeling!

We've been visiting Gado Gado for decades and weren't sure the transformation from a simple thatched roof eating and drinking place next to double six, to a swanky open air restaurant (adding the 'Chez' in the process), was such a good idea. Indeed five years ago we were underwhelmed. Over the years, however it has upped its ante and today is a solid fixture on the beach. We limited ourselves to starters (chef seems to be more creative there) and were not dissapointed (although the lobster obviously had been frozen, thus loosing its bite). As everwhere in Bali, wine choice has improved dramatically over the past years as have the prices. Had a perfectly agreeable pinot noir. On the back of its obvious succes, service seems to be deteriorating.

All in all, location can not be beaten, pricing is reasonable. We'll be back!
