Stayed in a 5 bedroom villa (Villa 42) last week. Check in was very fast and the staff were very friendly. The villas are very spacious and luxurious with a living room and kitchen area. The resort is only 5 minutes from the beach. Breakfast was very good + excellent service from the staff. Location was great, just a short walk to bars, restaurants and Seminyak Square. Would definitely come back.

Not much to fault at Sentosa Seminyak. We stayed in Villa 11 and loved it. The villa was quite large. It consisted of a central pool surrounded by the bedrooms, the daybed and kitchen/family/meals area. It definitely gives you the wow factor when you walk in.

Let me focus on the downsides...

(1) For families with young kids you need to pre-order a pool fence. What gets delivered is a series of bamboo fences that tie together. It works well but the fence did not cover the fish pond/water feature which you step over upon entering the villa. This can be hazardous.

(2) The bedrooms all open onto the pool area and so if you have young children to keep an eye and ear out then it is problematic. We had to share the beds with our kids to make it work.

(3) The pillows all looked great on the bed but they were ridiculously thick and could not be used. Unfortunately housekeeping could not offer us alternatives and so we were forced to use the cushions from the day bed. Beds and linen were great but I can't imagine anyone sleeping on such thick pillows!

(4) The bedrooms each have TVs but the family room does not. That can be a good or bad depending on your need to watch TV whilst on holidays. It at first seems like an oversight but then we didn't miss it.

(5) The villas are reasonably well located but not perfect. Expect to spend a little time each day walking to outside restaurants and bars. You can always request a taxi but we found they took their time turning up.

(6) The lounges in the family room looked comfy enough but the webbing that supports the cushions had all stretched and so you sank too far down. These need replacing.

All in all a great place to stay with welcoming staff and good food. The negatives really only apply to those with young children around water.

Room Tip: Request a room close to reception for easy access to the restaurant/pool. Request a room further...

Dear DiamondCoco

Thank you for your detailed review. Good to hear the overall experience was positive.

Appreciate that with children, safety is paramount and as you mentioned, we are able to organise a pool (and pond fence) when required. You would be happy to know we are working on adding televisions and DVD player in the living spaces.

We are looking into your other comments and feedback and will be taking them into consideration.

Hope to see you return to Bali and Sentosa Seminyak!

Regards, Sashi

We stayed in a three bed villa with pool and thoroughly enjoyed our 5 day stay. We ate out most nights but had a barbie on the last night which was wonderful. Positives are - very clean, great staff, comfortable beds, nice bathrooms, modern bar and restaurant and close to town (walking distance). Negatives - the concrete monstrosity around the main building cheapens the look, quite noisy early morning and the walk into town is quite nasty. I would recommend it though if you are looking for villa accommodation on the island.

When booking this venue I needed to pay more attention to noise. Staff start arriving at 5 am and many and I say many ride scooters. The scooters make the motor bike noise which is exacerbated by the fact that the scooter is being driven on narrow cobblestone paths. If your unit like mine is anywhere near the paths upon which these scooters travel then I suggest moving. In addition, behind Villas 17, 18 and 19 is the housekeeping and grounds staff compound. Electric golf buggys come and go all day and night and again on uneven and loose cobblestones the noise is an issue. Couple all of this with the fact that many staff don't finish till midnight you can imagine the noise again as shifts change. Another interesting noise contributor is the wheelie bin. These get
Pulled along by ground staff at 5 am and the noise that emanates from the wheels in the confined path areas travels straight into your room. Obviously the construction of the Villas does not appear to have taken noise control not account. I have to say that yes I am a light sleeper and so is my wife. However, my children sleep like logs and even they complained at one stage. Putting the noise to one side, the staff are very helpful with any request and did try and police the internal traffic to minimize the noise. Unfortunately, acoustics are what they are. We did enjoy the privacy of the Villas and the resort in general but would seriously need to be away from internal traffic zones if we return.

Room Tip: Be careful with Villas that back on to internal traffic zones. Ask for an internal Villa. Villas 17...

We returned with our staff for the third year to hold an inhouse conference - again the facilities were first class ,the service excellent and the staff thoroughly enjoyed their stay .The Villas are well maintained in spotless condition. Notwithstanding they are a part of a large group each gives a great deal of privacy - location for access to all Seminyak has to offer is spot on - many of our staff return for personal holidays and never disappoints

Room Tip: for bigger groups the larger villas at the furthest end of the complex are perfect for gatherings of...

Stayed in a 4 bedroom villa. The staff and service were excellent. They were extremely helpful with arranging for reservations at local restaurants, tours and airport transfers. Having a private pool in the villa was decadent, and the rooms were luxurious. The food on site was great as well. We usually stay at 5 star resorts but after staying at the Sentosa Villas we would go back as we enjoyed it so much more.

I stayed with my family at 3 bedrooms villa. Rooms are big and very clean. Living room + dining room is huge. Only the swimming pool's depth is not for children below 1.2 mtr. Very friendly and attentive staff, delicious breakfast, only not close to the beach. Overall, if you're looking for quite and private environment to relax, this is one of the best villa I ever stayed.
