“A perfect private villa”
Reviewed October 1, 2012

Our stay at Sanyas Suite was absolutely perfect in so many ways. The Junior Suite villa was amazingly peaceful with a beautiful pool all to ourselves. The bedroom was a great size with a large comfortable bed and the cooling ensured it was perfect temperature for sleeping at night. Mozzie nets were drawn and room sprayed each night by the staff. We did not get one mozzie bite and mozzies usually love me! The bathroom was big and we loved the options of outdoor shower, indoor shower or a beautiful deep bath. The kitchen had all you needed if you wanted to stay in and cook your own dinner not that we did, but the fridge allowed us to store chilled beverages for 'happy hours'. The room also had a drinking water fountain which was great, this kept us hydrated and saved us having to buy our own water.
Breakfast... was massive and delicious! We had a variety of dishes to choose from and all were great. The staff arrived each morning on the exact time we had requested and always greeted us with such warmth and friendliness. They set up our breakfast made the coffee and all we had to do is sit and eat...all of this in the privacy of our own villa.
The location is slightly out of the hustle and bustle of Seminyak but we loved that aspect. It was quiet in our villa no road noise. We could catch a cab for $3 into Seminyak when we needed to and then zip back when we wanted to got back to unwinding and relaxing.
The price is outstanding. I had shopped around and read many a TA review, eventually going with Wotif and getting an excellent deal.
All the staff from Sanyas Suite were generous, warm and welcoming. They really were, they would always go above and beyond to make sure we had a lovely stay...and we did! We highly recommend these villas as a perfect place to stay in Seminyak.

Room Tip: Go the Junior Suite.

We just returned from a week staying in a Junior suite at Sanyas Suites. We had a beautiful room with pool and living area. The gardens were beautiful, breakfast every morning served with a smile and the massage in your own suite was really relaxing. We will stay again!...The staff at reception were always helpful , happy and pleased to assist. Actually loved being just that little bit away from the crazyness of a the heart of seminyak but still close enough to walk or just catch a taxi...

We recently stayed for 4 nights and loved every minute of our stay - wish we were still there. The staff are genuinely friendly and happy to help with any request. The rooms are private, spacious and very romantic - they have a shared outdoor toilet and showering facilites which is perfect for a couple or small family however I'm not sure it would be suited to friends. The private pool was very clean and made us feel like we were on our second honeymoon. Right outside the hotel is a CircleK (7-11), a respectable spa, and a great quality and inexpensive Thai warung. Aside these there's not much else in the immediate vicinity of the hotel so the free taxi dropoff service was handy however they were hardly ever around when we needed it - not too much of an issue considering the taxi fares are relatively cheap anyway. Breakfast was a little disappointing compared to other dining experiences. Beds were very comfortable and overall the whole place is nice and quiet. Would easily stay again.

We stayed in a Junior Suite for 10 nights in August. From our arrival the staff were very friendly and helpful. Nothing seemed too much trouble. The suite was spacious and very comfortable. The Suites are showing a bit of wear and tear. As we were leaving late at night we had the use of a smaller suite to freshen up and change. I would not have enjoyed our stay as much, had we taken a smaller suite - smaller pool and not much courtyard area. The Junior Suite has a good sized kitchenette, and out door living area, as well as a very spacious bathroom with two showers. We enjoyed spending the first couple of days just lazing by our pool, and in the courtyard - it would have felt a bit cramped doing that in the smaller suite. The rooms were sprayed for mossies at night, and the nets around the bed put down. There are mossies all over Bali, and spray was provided so you can spray more often if you want. We didn't find it a big problem. There are some good quality restaurants close by - Petingenet, Sardine, Kibu etc. as well as cheaper warungs. We found the blue taxis with a meter the best option - but check before getting in, as some taxi drivers refused to turn the meter on, and wanted to charge ten times the price for a trip. The location is a little way out of Seminyak, but we eventually found short cuts when we walked to the square. Roads are busy, so I wouldn't have wanted to be there with small children - no footpaths, and a lot of traffic. But no noise from building projects, as in other parts of Seminyak.

Room Tip: Junior Suites a lot more spacious and comfortable.

My recent stay at the Sanyas Suite was enjoyable to say the least. Although they did not do as well in some ways, I would rate them as above average against the "local standard" of hotel services.

Firstly the airport pickup driver was not given the correct instructions and waited for me at the international arrival when I had provided details during my booking that I was arriving via the domestic terminal.

After arriving at the hotel, however, the check-in process was a breeze and I was given an upgrade to a larger villa. The layout of the villa is wonderful, with a pool in the middle and a spacious bathroom with open air showers and a bathtub filled with flowers shaped into a red heart shape.

Location of the hotel was great as it was so convenient to rent a motorcycle at Rp50,000 a day to explore the shops along Jalan Seminyak Raya, Jalan Legian and so on. I even managed to ride the motorcycle all the way to see the sunset at the Seminyak Beach.

Breakfast was good enough, although not fantastic, but it was sufficient to get me on my way everyday. They also have a turn down service that prepares your room/bed for sleeping everyday in the evening.

Overall, they did well in terms of staff attentiveness to their guests' needs and we felt it was a great place to rest and relax.

We stayed at the Sanyas Suite with our 18 month old twins in early August for 10 days and we only wish it could have been longer. Before we arrived I had emailed the manager to ask if it would be possible to have a temporary pool fence installed, for the babies safety, and two cots in our room, he emailed back very promptly and let us know this was not a problem. We were picked up at the airport by a very friendly driver, checked into our villa (Junior Suite) very promptly, and everything we had asked for had been done, they had put up a gorgeous bamboo pool fence, the babies had beautifully made up cots with mosquito nets. We were made to feel very welcome. The stay was almost faultless, definitely the most memorable thing is the staff, everyone from the gardeners to the manager to the drivers, cleaners, room service attendants, front desk etc was so friendly and helpful, they knew the babies by their first names, always had a smile and a wave and really gave us the feeling of true Balinese hospitality. They were so kind and accommodating and really aim to please. The villa was simply beautiful, the bed was suburb, the rooms were cleaned beautifully every day, anything we needed was promptly delivered. They supply each villa with a big water filter, which is a great money saver, and the best breakfast was definitely the nasi goreng with chilli jam! Each morning it was all laid out on our dining table so beautifully with fresh fruit and coffee. The location is a bit out of seminyak, but we liked that because locally there are some great little warungs that are very tasty and cheap, a laundry that does a brilliant job of washing heaps of clothes for next to nothing and a convenience store right around the corner. Its seriously not that far at all from the heart of seminyak, about a 7 min walk to Potato Head and 10 to KuDeTa, La Lucciola area, nice to be a bit away from the madness sometimes! In house massages were great, and organized within 40 minutes of our request. Loved the bathroom, so nice living outdoors after coming to Bali from a very wintery destination! Please disregard any negative reviews about mosquito's etc....this is a problem no matter where you stay in Bali...its the tropics people!! The Sanyas staff did everything they could to keep mosquito's at bay, including a nightly spray and mosquito coils lit.
For people with young children I cannot recommend the Sanyas enough. We also had a nanny with us during the day, and they made her feel very comfortable too and helped her with any special requests etc. (Highly recommend a nanny too if traveling with young kids!!) We had another week in Bali after leaving the Sanyas , in Ubud and Nusa Dua and no accommodation came close to what we had at the Sanyas.

We stayed there for 5 nights in January 2012. The staff were very friendly and accommodating, and the villa was clean, spacious and comfortable. The pool was clean and reasonably sized, but the sun beds were a little dusty. We needed to walk through an open air corridor to get to our villa, so it's not fun when it's raining (which happens often in Bali). Also, breakfast left a lot to be desired, although we ordered room service for dinner one night and the standard was much higher.
I think the suites are more suited to couples because the shower and toilet are outdoors. I can't imagine friends (who need privacy in the toilet or taking a shower) feeling that comfortable in this sort of setting.
This part of Seminyak is a little difficult to navigate on foot, because there are no sidewalks. As the roads are narrow and the cars tend to be quite fast, I didn't feel 100% safe walking around. The roads are also not in great condition possibly due to the amount of construction going on in the area. It would be even more difficult with kids in tow, I assume.
Also it is quite far from the centre of Seminyak, so will need to catch a taxi to get around- we found that the only honest taxis were the Blue ones with the swan logo. The other ones we had the misfortune of hailing were downright dodgy - refusing to turn the meter on and trying to negotiate skyhigh fares.
