Had a great 8 night stay at Pradha Villas. The location is fabulous and the staff are truly amazing. We stayed in the two bedroom villa and it was lovely. Would definitely stay here again.
- Free Wifi
- Free Parking
I'd recommend this place for families with kids, or groups of friends on holiday. Everything had a sort of shabby and used feel, so this place would be ok if you don't mind that, or if you don't want to be worried about breaking/ruining nice things in the villa. But, if that's the case, I can't imagine why you'd spend this much money.
Within walking distance of everything
Airport transfer included
- Towels and robes were old, tattered, and dingy.
- Bed linens and drapes had stains and cigarette burns.
- Walls had water stains, scratches, smears.
- Showerhead was broken.
- Tub headrest was yellowed/stained.
- Housekeeping staff didn't do a thorough job in general (dishes, floors, other details). There were several dead bugs in one of the bathrooms when we arrived, and the staff didn't remove it during their daily cleaning.
- Food wasn't good. Nasi goreng is probably the only thing I would go near.
- Bathrooms not air-conditioned, and tended to smell bad due to poor drainage of the semi-outdoor shower.
- Weak air-con in general.
Well fellow travellers, here is my JBR from Bali. After doing a villa search and finally choosing one (Prada Villas) we were somewhat disappointed with our choice. The position was good for us (near The Dusan villas, same street as Grocer and Grind) but the villa was tired/not maintained well and the staff although friendly were really not well-trained in service/hospitality. Our Villa (2) had good facilities re room size and pool but had basic creature comforts. I think a good measuring stick is the quality of the towels-these were at the "rough, grey and scratchy" end of the spectrum. The bed was really comfortable, pillows good, linen clean, but again, on the older side of new. Breakfast - all 4 styles were edible but unremarkable!! The pool was large and in the sun and clean but no umbrella on offer and none available. All in all, would I stay here again? Maybe if I got an amazing deal.... but with all the villas on offer in bali, I think/know we could do better.
I shall do a food review in a couple of days. hope this is useful to other travellers, HelMelbourne
my husband & I stayed at Pradha Villas for 4 nights at the end of January. we booked via Asia rooms. the vllla mgt were very efficient and contacted us to organise our airport transfers etc, we didn't have to contact them! so thought off to a good start. on their site they had advised within walking distance of everything which i must admit i was a bit cynical about -- well ....they did not lie! the location was superb. the Villas are within walking distance of the beach and some lovely restaurants & Ku de ta for a few drinks! if you wanted to go further, taxis could be organised easily.
the villas themselves were fabulous! we stayed in a one bedroomed villa, which was well laid out and had everything we needed.
our flight was not until the day of our departure and the staff were very accommodating and allowed us to have a late check-out which made a huge difference to us, and meant we had some extra hours by the pool.
would highly reocmmend these villas to anyone!
We stayed in this accommodation after staying in the best hotel that I had ever stayed in. That said, the Pradha did not disappoint. If you like privacy this is the place for you. The villas had a nice private pool and Jacuzzi, an open plan living area with cooking facilities and a separate bedroom which, was across the grounds and it had an en-suite bathroom, which was also open air next to the shower. It was nicely furnished but had signs of damp in places. Bali is a wet place!
The breakfasts were adequate and were served in your villa.
The location was excellent just a couple of minutes from the beach and 5 minutes from the shops and restaurants in Seminyak.
The staff was friendly and helpful.
The only down side was our bedroom had a lot of mosquitoes. The staff did spray the room every night, but it did not seem to get rid of them. The open-air bathroom may have been to blame.
I liked these villas and would stay again.
I have been to Bali many times and prefer to stay around the Seminyak area for its slightly quieter ambience and less overtly touristy features. Having tried a number of different places in the past, I decided to give Pradha Villas a go and was very pleasantly surprised. Its main attraction is the location, right in the middle of Seminyak, within walking distance of the beach and Seminyak village, and near a number of bars and restaurants including Ku De Ta, Breezes at The Semaya and La Lucciolla. Happily, it is tucked away from the main road so there is no outside noise audible from inside the villas. The villas themselves are a delight - large and comfortable, with beautiful swimming pools, living areas and outside bathrooms. I was slightly disappointed in the breakfasts - while adequate, they weren't anything special and seemed to be a Balinese chef's take on western food. Room service food was similarly uninspiring. However, the friendliness and service of the staff was second to none and nothing was too much trouble - the manager was able to organise a day trip for us at less than the rate found in the glossy brochures at the airport and was also able to accommodate us in another villa prior to a late night flight. Overall, a great place to stay for any lenghth of time in Bali and thoroughly recommended.
