I have just returned from a 8 night stay at the Villa Coco.

The 2 bedroom pool villa that we stayed in was beautifully presented. The open area came with 4 comfortable sun loungers surrounding a medium sized pungle style pool and a large dinning table perfect for having a meal. There was a fridge fully stocked with many mini bar options but not a lot of room for our own things and a bench top with a sink & 2 burner stove, ample for cooking a meal.

The bedrooms was quite spacious with comfortable queen sized bed, modern airconditioning and cable tv & DVD player. The onsuite bathroom was open with a large rainwater shower and toilet.

The only real negative part of the accommodation was the heavy presence of mosquitoes due to the many plants surrounding the villa. This caused us a lot of pain with my father being bitten quite badly on the first day. Now I can fully appreciate that it is the wet season but I do feel that the resort could copy a number of the other resorts that I have visited in Bali and fumigate the villas on a daily basis.
The other small issue was the poor quality of the resort WIFI which made trying to catch up on anything nearly impossible.

The staff were extremely helpful, going out of their way when ever you needed anything. The resort manager Claire was very friendly and would give some great tips on local spots to explore. I also wanted to make a special mention to the pool bar staff as they made such a big effort to ensure everybody was having a good time. They really made my stay at the resort.

I can recommend the Villa Coco to both young groups and to families. It is great value for money and less then a $5 taxi trip to the main part of Seminyak or Kuta. The Legian Beach is about a 10 minute stroll from the resort. There is also a small supermarket within short walking distance.

I would probably recommend to go outside the wet season unless you are very resistant to mossie bites, as they are in force at the resort.

Overall it was a most enjoyable stay for my family.

Thanks so much for staying with us and it was so nice to meet your parents. Lovely to hear nice feedback.

Yes the mozzies this time of the year are bad and we supply as much as we can to help but unfortunately the wet season and the tropics are not nice to some people.

And yes the WI-FI...arrrrhhhhh. We are looking at this now and this is a problem in Bali alot of the time. I stayed in a 5 star resort just recently and the WI-FI was hopeless, I took my own modem which solved my problem. I do not expect guests to do this but we have to look at this and get it working better. So apologies as this is something that people need all the time these days.

Once again thank you and I hope Mum and Dad had a safe trip back to England.

Regards

Claire and Staff

This was a awesome experience, I have been to Bali 3 times in the last 12 months. Fantastic location, easy for food, shopping, supermarkets. The staff were wonderful, could not fault at all, exceptionally helpful, happy and so willing to please. Had a slight problem with mozzies, but due to being in the wet season, what did we expect. Fogging ( killing mozzies) was done each week to try and eradicate the problem. 10 out of 10 for the overall stay, thank you.

Myself and 3 girlfriends stayed in the 2 bedroom pool villa for over 2 weeks and everything about Villa Coco was great.

We organised the traditional Balinese BBQ in our villa one of the days and that was a highlight, we had family come from other hotels for it and they also were very impressed.

If something wasn't quite right they would fix it straight away for you and they also let us stay in the villa past our checkout time so we could relax right up until they took us to the airport for our flight home.

Next month I am coming back to Bali with my boyfriend and another couple and it was no question where we were booking our 16nights, can't wait to be back in the pool villa relaxing and enjoying bali

I've stayed in many villas, appartments and hotel in bali and this is by far the best. Good value for money and great staff

Cheers Ruby

We have stayed at villa coco for 3 days and loved it! We had a 1 bedroom studio which was huge, great air con, huge bathroom and lovely little garden area! The staff serve you breakfast in your room in the morning! Really nice and quiet but near enough to everything that's going on too! The staff were really helpful and provided us with mosquito repellent and let is have the room till 6pm as we had a late flight! Also a free airport transfer!

We had a fantastic holiday staying in the exotic Villa coco.

Lovely garden villa with total outdoors living.

Great communal pool if, like us you choose not to book a villa with a pool, actually this was more fun for the kids because they were able to make friends.

The villas with the private pool are great. So spacious, nice and comfy. The hammock is a great touch. The food is excellent. We really liked the location - it's closer to Legian (but is still in Seminyak) so it's a 15 min taxi to the main shopping and eating area of Seminyak, while still being surrounded by shops. Nice and quiet.

The staff were very friendly here, helping with all of our needs. The villa was very close to shops, eating and the beach. We loved the open air shower and the cultural feel of the grass villa huts. We were unlucky in that construction was occurring across the road, which made our stay a little noisy at times. The hotel has deals with many of the local attractions and can offer discounts for some of these.
