Just to say all the reviews are spot on about Kunja Villas from the moment they pick you up from the airport and in your villa all is fantastic service is very very good and the staff are so friendly. We just had our breakfast in our villa so far we can not fault this place . Having a driver available is awesome. The villa is one of the best rooms we have stayed in and from our standards that is saying something!! Private pool wow. Thank you all at Kunja Villas my first 5 rating ever!!

We arrived at The Kunja late at night due to our arrival from Dubai. Our first impressions were wonderful, a lush oasis in the heart of everything. We were taken straight to our villa which looked incredible under the night sky, the garden and pool lit by subtle up-lighters and the villa with soft high level lights and table lamps, along with gentle Balinese music. After 24 hours of travelling we could not have asked for anything more or less.

We had 18 nights at The Kunja and each and every one of those was met with consistent exemplary standards. Every member of staff wished you well when leaving for the day and welcomed you back with a smile and a wave. From the gardening and maintenance teams through to senior management, every member of The Kunja team should be congratulated for making their guests feel valued, welcomed and comfortable. Any member of the team was readily available to assist whenever we required but never put unnecessary pressure on us to act on advise we sought from them.

The location of The Kunja is perfect. This was out fifth visit to Bali and we have previously stayed more central to Semiyak and also further away in Batu Belig. The Kunja offers the best of everything that the area has to offer. There are spas, juice bars, cafes, an abundance of vegan options, mini-marts, restaurants, bars and nightclubs all on the doorstep. A walk to the beach will take you around 15 minutes which can be done by walking through W. We even walked to Double Six Beach and Batu Bolong Beach form the villa.

The villas themselves are stunning. We had Villa No.11 and it was in the perfect position. Having had a peak inside the other one bedroom villas I believe it probably offers slightly more outside space, having a strip of lawn at the bottom of the garden. The living area, bedroom and bathroom are of exceptional quality and offer ample room for a couple. Although the bathroom opens onto the side of the living area and thus offers garden and pool views, it is designed in a way that privacy is maintained.

There are only a few very minor points we would like to raise. Please consider that the following are not negatives but areas we feel could possibly be looked into;

We found that on occasions we were unable to fill the bath with hot water, or if one of us had a bath then there wouldn't be sufficient hot water for the other to have a shower. Sometimes though it was more pleasant to have a cool shower due the the continued beautiful weather we had during our stay.

I found that there was a relatively bright light outside of the bedroom window, adjacent the store door which due to their only being slatted blinds did disrupt my sleep occasionally. I did request the location of the light switch or that it be turned off at night on a couple of occasions but for some reason this didn't happen. Only a minor point which I am sure could be rectified very easily.

The Kunja offers an extensive selection of takeway foods from local restaurants and warungs. However, the service charge placed on top of the menu prices appears quite high. We do however appreciate that a member of staff will prepare and plate the food for you, although we would have been more than happy to do this ourselves. Regards costs, The Kunja recommends and offers day trips around the island in one of their own cars, however we found this to be significantly more expensive than we could achieve elsewhere. There is the option of a driver being arranged from outside The Kunja, but again this turned out to be more expensive than another local driver we were referred by a friend.

A final point would be that the breakfast ordering process can become slightly convoluted. We tried to write what we wanted opposed to selecting off the menu as we both ended up receiving different food that what we thought we had ordered. It wasn't a huge issue as all of the food was freshly prepared, we just had to be careful on occasion as my wife is allergic to egg. In other villas we have had a full tick-list of individual items as a separate menu for each person. In our experience this would be a better way of doing it.

Visited Bali again and of course chose to stay at the Kunja again and it was just as amazing as the first time. There's something to be said about an establishment that's consistent but there's even more to be said when they get better. The villa was updated and freshly painted, everything felt new and refreshed. Many place just let things go but not here. Wow, it felt fresh and new. Will be back again for sure.

We had a lovely two nights stay at The Kunja recently and fell in love with our villa and the neighbourhood. The entire staff were so attentive and pleasant. Our room and villa were very spacious and kept immaculately clean.

The villa comes stalked with an entire kitchen where a chef comes to prepare breakfast each morning. The Kunja also offered us afternoon tea where we could enjoy the sunshine at our villa pool with a complimentary desert, and tea!

This hotel is close to great local restaurants as well as the beach for catching the gorgeous Bali sunsets.

All in all, the facilities are incredibly well maintained and the location is unbeatable!

We look forward to our return.

We stayed from 24/09 for the last week of our honeymoon and the Kunja Villas were a perfect place to end our stay in Bali. The pictures don't do the place justice but is a beautiful, quiet oasis just minutes away from the bustle of Seminyak.

The staff were very attentive, providing us with a cooked breakfast every morning, the variety on offer was great, daily afternoon tea and a nightly turn down service. We were also offered a complimentary Balinese massage, which I would highly recommend! They also offer a free shuttle service around Seminyak, which was handy for getting to some of the restaurants in the area and as they don't have an onsite restaurant they offer takeaway collection from some of the local eateries, which came in handy for a night in at the villa.

We would highly recommend these villas to anyone who is looking for luxury and relaxation with a great selection of restaurants on their doorstep.

Room Tip: Villa 12, peaceful as further away from the main road
