“3rd time returning to the breezes”
Reviewed March 28, 2012

This has been my third stay at the breezes and have enjoyed everyone of them ....it just seems to get better each time .... i stayed there with my sister this time and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay there .... the ONLY negative comment i would have is that when other people staying there come in at 2am and slam there doors !!!!!!!
Of course that is not the hotels fault but the inconsiderate people staying there !!! I always tried to close our door as quietly as i could thinking of other guests ....but of course we are not the partying type so wernt out till all hours in the morning ....
Every time i have had a request with this hotel they have been great ....this time i requested a room over near the breakfast area and it was granted ....
Our cleaner Indra was fantastic ....each day leaving us an animal towel to come back to ...our last day he left us a monkey hanging on a coat hanger it was great ..... had a crayfish, swan, dog, scorpion etc etc ...he is very talented ....
Lastly breakfast every morning was fantastic ...i cannot see why anyone would winge about the variety for breaky it was fabulous !!!!! We couldnt fault it and loved going down to breaky each day .....Overall absolutely LOVE staying at the breezes, location etc etc ....cannot wait to go back there again ...my sister seconds that !!

Room Tip: We always find the rooms over near the breakfast area are the quietest ...but saying that i havnt st...

My boyfriend and I spent just over a week at the breezes in January 2012. Having never been overseas I was nervous, especially hearing stories prior to leaving about the good and bad of Bali. This hotel was incredible! it is beautiful, the staff are are always smiling and more then willing to help. We had absolutely no problems at all. I had read about the construction next door prior to going, and can I say not once did i have a problem with any of it. Same goes with the noise from the pool bar, i could understand how it could be noisy being on the pool deck, but we had a pool view room and whilst we could hear the noise, it was nothing that couldn't be drowned out by general conversation or even the television. The way the staff interacted with us was great, i loved the nightly activities at the pool and the enthusiasm of the staff, especially their bar tricks. Breakfast was amazing, and we had our fair share of room service as well because it was that good. I also made use of the day spa, which whilst somewhat pricey compared to some places the standard of service was miles from some others on the street. I'm not sure what some people expect from a hotel, but I personally thought this place was incredible. I would happily recommend it to anyone and if my financial situation allowed it, I would be back in a heartbeat.

my partner and i stayed here for 8 nights, it was my first time out of australia and our first holiday together with out the kids... we had the best time here the staff are so friendly and remembered our names they are not just staff they end up being one of your new friends. the rooms were perfect and everything is so clean we stayed in the pool terrace room close to pool bar even tho we were the second room from pool bar and we were not kept up because of noise we couldnt actually here anything once we closed our door... .... they clean the grounds and pool every day along with cleaning the rooms daily... the food was very nice loved the buffet breakfast and they were very fast on service, even room service meals were made and delivered very fast also... i cant fault the breezes we will be back to stay here again and we will be bringing our children... HIGHLY recommend staying here .....

Balinese New Year (Nyepi) requires a day of total silence and as residents of Bali it is always a time we like to stay in a hotel for a couple of days so we dont need to put a muzzle on the kids!! This year we chose The Breezes and i have to say it was fantastic! We stayed in one of the new Junior Suites on the ground floor near the 'beach pool' and it was fabulous! The room was spacious and inviting the bathrooms large and claean (with rain shower) The outdoor daybed area and private poolside area for sunbathing were just perfect. The food was great with full buffets for Breakfast lunch and dinner over this holiday period (you cannot leave the hotel for a full 24 hrs as you are not allowed to be on the streets of Bali) The kids activities were well organised and free of charge, including pool games, garden games and movies non stop! This was ideal for us as we were satying with other families and the kids were kept busy and occupied (an supervised) at all times which allowed us to relax and enjoy the beautiful "day of silence" the staff are all extremely friendly and organised, check in and check out were a breeze (no problems at all) rooms we had booked were the rooms we were provided, so not sure what happened in case of other reviewers. The three families that stayed all agree that The Breezes will become a permanent choice for Nyepi stays in years to come. Highly recommend to anyone travelling to Bali with young children and looking to be close to all the action of Seminyak.

Room Tip: Junior Suite is a must if you want to upgrade room 37 is perfect!!

We stayed at the Breezes for 14 nights in March 2012.We were treated so well we will be returning later in the year.I raised my concern about the renovations that were happening 3 rooms away because we were staying for 2 weeks. The reception staff were cheerful, polite and happy to help us.As the renos only started at 8am and were finished by 5pm,we were happy to stay in our room (58).The renos next door were not overly intrusive, the noise from the swimup bar was far greater. You have to realise that the noisy guests at the bar are on holidays also and are simply enjoying themselves. The noise never went past 11 o'clock.I have been to many hotels in bali and without a doubt the Breezes has the best staff in Bali.Having read monty d's comment on the reception staff I think he might have been having a bad day,or he must have been at another hotel. On the day before we left the reception staff rang to see if we would like an upgrade to the deluxe pool side room to see what they were like.We declined because we were happy with our room, but we thought that was a nice gesture. On our next trip we will be asking for a pool room near the beach pool.

Room Tip: If you have trouble with stairs pay for a ground floor room.

We had booked in for 4 nights in this hotel, and stayed only for one. We would rather forefit the other three nights and pay to stay in another hotel, than to put up with this establishment.
We found the 'reception staff' unhelpful, possibly even uncaring.
Our room was small, and located next to in-house referbishments and worse still, a 5 level construction site right next door. The noise from the building site could be heard throughout the Breezers from 8am - 8pm daily! So dont forget to bring ear plugs for those relaxing moments next to the pool/bar.
Speaking to other very unhappy guests about the treatment they had recieved, we found out about the ' room moving ' pattern the Breezers puts apon their guests. This a system where you are constantly moved from poor room to poor room. Some guests had been moved 4 time in only 3 days, so un-packing and relaxing didn't seem an option.
We had also asked to be moved, and were told we would have to pay an additional $50 to be moved into another room ( which was also on the room moving list ). So we ended up leaving in favour of a better, friendlier place.
Apon checking out, the reception staff then tried to charge me again for the 4 nights (had already paid on arrival a day earlier)
Be Aware of very slippery surfaces, and no help when you fall over around the pool/walkways.
Good Luck.

Room Tip: To avoid ' room swapping pattern' ensure you are very specific about which room you want whe...
