My partner and I stayed here for a week from 30th November. We wanted to be away from the madness of Kuta for a change, and stay in a villa rather than a hotel.
We were not disappointed. The place was perfect for what we we looking for, and the price we could afford.
The service was absolutely fantastic! From the warm welcome we received at 10pm to the waves and smiles from security when we were leaving. The front desk staff made a few reservations for us, and even called and spoke to a taxi driver after I left my camera in the car. (I cried when he returned it, he was so honest). They were great.
I wish I knew the name of the lovely man outside the doors who greeted us every day. He was so friendly and made us feel like we were coming home.
Our villa, Halamerah, was perfect. Spotlessly clean, a full size fridge, large water chiller, a bed to die for!!!The bath was massive, We did look up to an ugly bamboo wall covering construction, but that wasn't a huge issue. Our pool was large and refreshing, not warm like some of the big resorts.
After reading Tripadvisor we took the advice and ate the Indonesian breakfasts, and on 2 days had the omelettes. Every day the service was perfect and the food was delicious. Coffee was really good as well.
Restaurants and shops are a 5 minutes walk, and there are some great places to go.
We never waited more than 1 minute for a taxi at the end of the lane, even at 7am in the morning.
If there was one thing I could change, but I can't, I would move the Uma Sapna to the beachfront, as even though we walked there, or got a taxi for less than $2, we did miss the sunsets, but if it was on the beach, we wouldn't be able to afford it.
Regardless, if you are looking for time alone without the kids, a honeymoon or just a relaxing holiday, and you don't have $1000 a night to spend, this is the place. Highly recommended!!
