I had visited Uma Sapna long while back but getting the chance to review it just now.

The place is adorned with Bali like luxury, where the staff would make you feel like royalty. The staff there was so helpful that we were spoiled by them when we returned.

We were upgraded to the larger pool villa the next day even before we requested for one. We got 2 full body massages just because we returned back little early and there was about 2 minutes of turndown work left to be done. We got free rides to the beach in the hotel car. We couldn't ask for more.

Rooms are great, breakfast was even better and the staff was the best seen yet.

Though the location is little far off from the beach, still the place is value for money.

Room Tip: Alor Villa was the best value.

We stayed in Villa Ternate which was an executive private pool villa.
The villa is large and quite modern, you don't see much of the traditional Balinese style. There is a beautiful outdoor area where breakfast is served by the pool daily.
The rooms are cleaned daily with new towels and bathroom amenities. The shower and toilets are indoors but have clear doors, so there isn't much privacy if you are after that.
Staff are polite and provide great service, however, there isn't much interaction with them.
One great thing about this place is that it's located on a quiet street but is right in the middle of the main area of Seminyak. There is a laneway right outside the hotel which takes you to one of the main roads. The beach is about a 20 minute walk or a 5 minute taxi ride.
Overall, it is a good hotel although it is a little bit pricey.

We've just returned home after a 6 night stay at Uma Sapna in a one bedroom pool villa. We couldn't recommend Uma Sapna more highly! It's in the perfect position in Seminyak with a short walk to eat street and Seminyak Square. The room was huge with simple yet beautiful fittings and was kept immaculately throughout our stay. The staff were wonderful and happy to accommodate any request we had. The only thing we would change about Uma Sapna is a more extensive room service menu! We enjoyed our Indonesian style breakfasts however the western style breakfasts were not amazing however this would not stop us from returning as the villa is so close to many of Seminyak's fantastic eateries. We will be back!

Uma Sapna lies on a side street (Drupadi - taxi drivers will know the street even if they don't know the villa), which means it is a really quiet area, yet only 5 minutes walk from the two main shopping and dining areas of Seminyak, this is a real find in this regard. Once you then get confident in using the small alleys around the resort you will be surprised how quickly you can pop out into parts of Seminyak that take a little longer by the main streets.

We stayed in a plunge pool villa, which is comprised of a very high quality bed and bathroom setup; usual walk-in rainfall shower, stone bathtub (ever used?) and large wardrobes etc. bed was huge. This was all kept immaculately clean daily. The villas are laid out to ensure absolute privacy, we didn't see any other guests the whole time we were there and the spacing between each villa clearly keeps your privacy in tact.

The staff are fabulous here and able to easily help with arranging any special requests you might have; we used them to book us a driver to tour the island (one of the staff members actually drove us; Darma - a lifelong Bali dweller and therefore full of great stories, anectdotes and knowledge on life as we drove around) and this worked out cheaper than haggling on the street.

The only small concern here is the breakfast; the western choices such as Eggs Benedict weren't great, but the coffee was excellent. We chose after the first few days to simply head out for breakfast; there is a great choice of 'Aussie' style breakfast choices only a few moments away. Breakfast is served at your chosen time in your villa.

Also, the staff are really polite and always ring the (LOUD) doorbell before entering the garden; this can be a shock if you've ordered breakfast to your room at 7.30!

If we head back to Seminyak I would definitely consider staying again.

It was my first time in Bali, and we started with Villa Uma Sapna. For the price we got we had a great villa, especially with the free upgrade! but all villas looked great. We had a nice, friendly and professional service. Good quality breakfast. nothing negative to say about it. Only regret, they were full over the weekend, so could only stayed 2 days, so it made our next villa stay not as great compare to this place. Definitely recommend the place!

Had stayed in Uma Sapna back in 2007 and absolutely loved the place. This time I booked a Single Bedroom villa with private swimming pool, and upon arrival, I was upgraded to the Executive Single Bedroom villa with private swimming pool with a kitchenette and a lounge area.

Previously I had problem with the hot shower as the shower water is always not hot at all. This time, it was perfect. The villa was very clean and when times I walked around barefooted inside the villa, I could feel the floor was wiped down clean everyday as it wasn't even dusty.

The only issue, though very minor, is that the chefs are not very good in doing western dishes. The eggs ben I had one morning wasn't very properly done and the spinach was overcooked. The Indonesian breakfast was good though.

There are many good F&Bs once we turned out from the main roads, so dining wasn't any issue. We rented a scooter from a small shop just outside the villa and it was useful to bring us to further parts of Seminyak and also Kuta.

Overall, I had a wonderful stay and will definitely book Uma Sapna for my future trips to Bali.

Was recommended to stay at uma sapna by some friends. Was really glad we chose to stay there!
My wife and I with 18mth old son shared a two bedroom villa with another couple and there baby.
Villas were large in size, rooms were huge and were both set up with cots supplied by villas.
Ideal for just hanging out by the pool, and such a great location with all the good restaurants, cafes, shops within walking distance.
Staff were friendly and very helpful! Can't say a negative thing about the place.
Will would definitely return!!
