“Totally awesome experience”
Reviewed March 17, 2014

The whole experience from the time you walk through the door is totally amazing could not fault anything, the staff are more than helpful, the food very appealing to the eye and tastes even better.the atmosphere is relaxed with no pressure to get you out for the next customers unlike other restaurants they take total pride in everything they do. The only mistake was on our part we both ordered the 5 courses which is too much food for us as we are only small eaters and they add a few extras in, the 3 course would of been ample for us. But they let us take our time to get through it again no pressure. I would highly recommend you treat yourself to some fine dining when in Bali. Prices higher than normal Bali prices but worth every cent for this experience and still heaps cheaper than Australia. They found out it was my birthday and they wanted to whizz up a special cake truly amazing we will be back.

“Exceptional food and wine pairing”
Reviewed March 15, 2014

Had a chef degustation with wine pairing as well as a 5-course dinner for my partner. The wine pairings were inspired. Every dish was beautifully plated. We were served 3 amuse bouches before the meal and an additional sorbet in the middle of the meal. I liked everything except the coral trout, which I felt had a rather dense and sticky texture. Good service. Worth every cent!

“Massive price compared with better restaurants.”
Reviewed March 14, 2014

Going off the reviews on TA we were really looking forward to Teatro. It's set on Eat Street next to not particularly nice neighbours. The interior is very modern - lots of dark wood - and the clientele is 50/50 Asian/Western which was surprising and different to other restaurants. Do the locals know something we don't maybe?

Probably not.

The food is OK. My wife's duck was a little on the tough side and if I were to make a criticism it would be that the food in general could have done with being a little more tastier.

At £100 a head it's just too expensive especially when there's better restaurants that are cheaper such as Breezes

“Loved it!”
Reviewed March 12, 2014 via mobile

We dined here on our last night in Bali and it definitely was worth it!
This was highly recommended by a colleague so we decided to ask our hotel to book us a table.
The service and atmosphere once we walked in was really good and just got better! We had a waitress who looked after us ( I tried to recall her name but can't remember! Rina perhaps?! I'm probably completely wrong!) but she was so friendly and understanding.
There were so many entrees and we were impressed with all!
We ordered the soft shell crabs to share and it was so nice! We ordered different mains (2 dishes of fish were the same but looked the same and impeccable!) and we all loved it!
Only 2 of us were game enough to order desserts- one a more citrus one whilst another was chocolate which I had and could go back just for it! To top it off- we were given small desserts for everyone which left us full and content!
All in all, a great experience and I've already told my friends about it and can't wait to go back!

Thank you!! (:

“Wonderful food & service”
Reviewed March 11, 2014 via mobile

We dined here to celebrate our 2 year anniversary. We were so happy with everything! We had the chefs degustation menu, 10 courses but there was also three different appetisers, three different petit fours at the end plus lots of different delicious breads to try... So I basically lost count of courses :) I recommend not eating too much bread- by the end I was struggling to fit in the outstanding chocolate dessert. Every course was great, stand outs was the foie gras and the trout. The service was impeccable, everyone we dealt with was great, especially Ririz she was so lovely.
We were the only table there for quite a while so the food did come out quite quickly but when we asked for a bit more of a break between courses they were very accommodating. Like everywhere in Bali, there is an extra 18% tax that comes on top of menu prices so do keep that in mind otherwise the bill could be a bit of a surprise. The wine list has some great choices, some Aussie wines are ridiculously expensive but some of the others, French for example aren't too exorbitant.
I recommend a visit to Teatro to anyone- it's a wonderful setting, meal & experience. Thankyou!
