Beautiful breakfasts, very classy feel to the restaurant, and very good value for money. Will definitely return next holiday

Our first visit to the vintage-styled The Bistrot was pleasant with nice food, but was sadly let down by service that started out fine but dropped to poor as the place got busier.
My parties choices included ribs, steak bernaise, burgers and risotto. All of the food was well presented, well executed versions of safe, well-loved classics. The range of drinks, including cocktails, was again safe but well executed. We felt it was good value for its target Seminyak tourist clientele.
The biggest let down was unfortunately the service. We arrived a little before 8:00pm with the restaurant about two-thirds full. Service was initially good with our drink and food orders taken promptly. Our food arrived promptly, with the entire table served together -- all good signs. Unfortunately service dropped quickly as the restaurant became full. 45 minutes after finishing the main meal we left without a dessert order being taken, despite having asked for dessert menus.
The Bistrot has interesting and comfortable decor and good food at a good price. It's definitely worth a shot -- hopefully our service experience was a one-off.
We came here many times for breakfast and was always very satisfied. Many choices and the Bistrot and Niyak set breakfasts are great value for money. Each plate was tasty and beautifully presented. Came just once for dinner and were equally impressed. Will return on our next visit.
You can't help but notice The Bistrot when walking down the street - the industrial style all glass facade is lit from within by an array of eclectic and vintage stye pendants and chandeliers. The decor inside is an eclectic mix - some industrial pieces, some vintage pieces - a real shabby chic mix going on. It is beautifully styled and the result has you examining every inch of the restaurant throughout your meal.
Not to be outdone, the food is just as good. We had the tuna tartare to start, a ribeye and the rosemary chicken for mains, and two servings of the hot chocolate fondant for dessert. Everything was delicious, and even with a full restaurant the food came out in record time.
Overall meal value is pretty good too. A definite must in Seminyak!
go there with bunch of friends to celebrate something will be great. but it's not advisable if you like some place quite ... Food is good, wine collection is considered good in widely range.
