“A romantic dinner”
Reviewed June 27, 2013

An excellent restaurant, international cuisine, shellfish unforgettable and others fish and meat main courses fantastic! Lovely atmosphere and very attentive, polite and very kind staff. Wine list is complete. Aperitif on the terrace overlooking the ocean was enjoing. The ambience is very surprising, a ceiling full of Venice chandeliers surrounded by walls full of amazing artworks. I would recommend including it on your culinary itinerary when visiting Bali The setting was really lovely.

“French Cuisine that could be improved.”
Reviewed June 21, 2013

We enjoyed our group meal here, however there needs to be improvement. The lamb racks were of average quality, steaks were not cooked to ordered requests and the service was slightly sloppy. The entrees were lovely, tuna was delicious. Tapping Shoes really didnt WOW us for the price tag. The Asian fare down stairs is considerably better and we all favoured this over the french restaurant.

“Stunning food and excellent service”
Reviewed May 12, 2013

This restaurant was recommended to us by a friend who manages the site and we went up there for dinner after spending the afternoon at Potato Head. We had the degustation menu and the food was beautifully presented. Every course was delicious and meticulously prepared. The lobster was amazing, as was the wagyu beef. The fois gras was not really fois gras as on the menu, but more of a fois gras pate, but tasty nevertheless. There was probably also a little too much dessert, because as well as the dessert on the menu, there was a pre-dessert dessert, and also 10 x petit fours, which was far too much sugar for 2 people! The staff were a little difficult to understand due to their heavy Balinese accents but they were very professional. Generally it was a very pleasurable experience, albeit quite pricey, especially for Bali. Lots of space in between the tables, so great for a romantic dinner.
