Description: Mase Kitchen & Wine Bar has undergone a complete alteration from a casual “fun” restaurant concept to a charming fine dining venue and wine bar that offers an impressive wine collection. From the moment you enter into the warmth surrounding, the wine experience begins. Earth-tones interior design, massive wine cellar displayed on the walls, muted lighting, comfortable furnishings and stunning bar in a trendy decor, echoes a relaxed sophistication dining room. The gratified bar offers an extensive wine list composed of over 100 bottles of International wines with 15 wines offered by the glass. The well-conceived wine list features an array of popular selections from Australia, Chille and California, as well as other notables regions throughout the world. Seated at one of Mase’s white linen-draped tables, accented with highly contemporary flatware, enjoying the scents of fresh herbs and spices wafting from the kitchen and admiring the wine cellar, you know you’ve come to the right place to sample the delicious fare of international cuisine with an extensive wine list at reasonable price. It delivers an energetic and unique experience with live entertainment such as Balinese dance, live acoustic or easy listening DJ. This exciting dining establishment can be reserved for private events such as birthday, wedding, socialite gathering, to small meeting. For guests who interest to explore an authentic Balinese cuisine, we have a cooking class activity; our chef will take you to traditional market before he teach how to cook a Balinese food.

We had breakfast, afternoon tea and dinner at Mase and were impressed every time.

Some of the best coffee is to be had here. It was worth ordering the siphoned Kintamani coffee just to watch them put it together for you. And I have to say that AUD$4.50 was a small price to pay for the amount of effort it takes for them to make the coffee at your table. My friend also said that her mocha was the best she had ever had. The papaya and pineapple juices are just wonderful - refreshing and not too sweet. My mojito was a bit of a disappointment - I have had much better in Queenstown, New Zealand and Las Vegas, USA. My mocktail was actually much tastier! My friend enjoyed her martini - apparently, it was almost neat but it was delicious. If you enjoy wines, they have an extensive wine range and I am happy to report that there are quite a few wines from Western Australia where we are from! :)

The satay lilit was wonderfully balanced in flavour. The pancakes were the thickest, fluffiest and most perfectly textured I have ever had (crispy edges and fluffy middles!) and the salted caramel dribbled on it was just fabulous. The bubur ayam (chicken rice porridge) was creamy in texture and the fish and peanuts that it's served with completes it in terms of texture and flavour. The brioche french toast was inhalable and all the pastries are buttery and fluffy. Look, we felt like Goldilocks - it was just right...

I could go on and on about the food being delicious. Nothing was a let down except for my mojito. The decor in Mase is actually quite good. The only drawback occurred when we sat down just under one of the televisions and the football was blaring over head but we just shifted to a table outdoors and everything was great. The outdoor dining catered to people who just wanted to lounge and to people who wanted to sit at a table for a meal. Even though the restaurant is almost on the roadside, the restaurant and the outdoor dining area is quiet and tranquil. You feel secluded and secreted away from the world. It's tranquil and relaxing. There is a live band on Wednesdays and we really enjoyed their performance. It really added something extra to the already magical tropical atmosphere.

The service is better than at any fine dining restaurant I have experienced in Australia. They will help in any way they can. The staff adjust their waiting behaviours according to the time of day. They are quite chatty during breakfast and have an amazing ability to put us at ease and gear us up for the day's events at the same time. During the evening, they are incredibly attentive but completely unobtrusive. They are chameleons who blend into the background but are always on hand the moment you look like you need something. I can't wait to return to Bali, to Maca Villas and Spa and to Mase Restaurant.

Well done, Mase! Well done!

We dined here for dinner one night and were pleasantly surprised it was a nice little restraint to go to and the food was really nice the staff were more than helpful and a well a priced restaurant. The high light of the night was the trio of puddings they are a must. We also went back for coffee the next morning and the coffee is amazing.

My husband and I stumbled across this little gem in search of a decent morning cup of coffee. We were delighted with the service and ambience (and of course the coffee) we went back every morning we where on holiday..... And sometimes twice. For lovers of quality coffee this place delivered every time without fail. On a side note we also had dinner here one night when we didn't want to wander off too far from the hotel. I had the 3x pork and hubby had the stuffed chicken, was delicious and would thoroughly recommend the desserts also, the banana flambé with caramel sauce yummmm. The staff here are old school, they bend backwards to make sure you are happy to the point of ridiculous. Great coffee and food, wonderful staff.

We stumbled on this place and had a delicious lunch in a lovely cool inviting atmosphere. The food was so impressive that we went back for dinner. The seafood chowder was superb and everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meals. Generous serving of excellent quality fusion food. Well worth a visit. Great staff, extensive wine list. Can't recommend highly enough.

Home away from home, we were staying at the MACA villas which is where this was located so we didn't have to venture far from our room. We enjoyed a 4 course meal here and whilst I wasn't overly impressed by the entree or dessert the amuse bouche and main meal made up for it. Great laid back restaurant out of the hustle and bustle of seminyak main restaurant area with service to put a smile on your face.
