“Fantastic”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 22, 2013

We have just returned after a week. The three bedrooms were very spacious and having a bathroom each was great. We had a lovely relaxing time - we would catch a taxi in to Kuta and shop and return for a swim and dinner. Taxis are never a problem to get outside the Indian Restaurant at the end of the laneway. Driver is available through the manager but we took each day one day at a time and did not organise so taxi was great and reasonable price.
We had a few early dinners at Seminyak Square or Buzz Café nearby. Did a lot of walking - whilst the footpaths are broken and uneven never felt unsafe. Traffic is horrendeous but this is all through Bali - once you learn to disregard the bikes and when crossing the road to firmly put hand up to stop the oncoming cars and bikes.
We did not go to any bars, bought what we needed at Bintag shops nearby and had nights in with DVDs. Sometimes had trouble working out dollars to Ind Rupiah but most of the time okay.
My husband and sisters all enjoyed out time there - this was their first visit. Our last visit husband had bali belly and gardia and we had a horrid time. We took extra care and having access to kitchen this time was good - the water was supplied for our stay which was good also.
Wyan was wonderful - we tried to get her not to clean as we were okay but she insisted - lovely lady. The sink plug got stuck and a quick call fixed.
Many thanks for a great trip - hopefully we will return.

My family and I had an amazing time staying here.
Putu, our driver was so friendly and charismatic, and full of local knowledge.
the villa itself is very nice, good size pool, nice for a little afternoon dip. Comfortable beds, and spacious living areas.
A few things to be aware of when staying in a private villa in bali, sometimes the power will go out, this is normal, but in the 8 days we stayed there it didn't happen once. the bathrooms are wet rooms, meaning there is no separate shower, and sometimes the water does not drain properly. not a problem at all for us but something other travelers might like to be notified of. also the stairs to the master bedroom are a little steep.
all of the staff are very helpful and friendly.
breakfast provided every morning is nice, not amazing but still very good.
the villa is very nicely situated and easily found in a taxi, just tell them to drop you off at the queens tandoor restaurant.
it was nice and quiet even though the main road is only 100 meters away.
i much prefer staying in Seminyak over kuta or legian. only slightly more expensive, but there aren't many street hawkers hassling you to buy anything which is refreshing.
there are plenty of great restaurants around, my favourite being Taco Beach Grill a short walk away, great margaritas food and service.
also the bintang supermarket is just down the road, which is good to stock up on toiletries and snacks for your stay.
i could not have had a better time and i will definitely stay here again.

Back for my second visit! Will def go back for a third! Wayan, the cleaning lady is just beautiful & nothing is a hassle! ( & for her husband Nyoman...when power was lost).
She even bought over a present for my mum & myself before leaving! oh & washed our clothes at her own house for nothing!
The power went out 3 times, but one phone call & all was fixed! The manager Nyoman travelled 30 mins to deliver a power adapter for me? Fantastic service! I love these guys!!!
Cant WAIT to go back & would def recommend to all!!!

we stayed here for a week in march 2012 (sorry taken so long) it was fantastic, myself , husband and my sister. the villa is fairly new, so everything was clean and fresh, pool was great and crystal clear , only small, but who wants to do laps. staff were absolutely fantastic , wayan and nyoman, couldnt have asked for better. there were plenty of dvds and music cds to watch and listen too, if you wanted. tv is large, with great surround sound. this villa is private, and is just a hop skip and a jump to the main street, no dark alleys to walk down, great position. a beautiful bali hut upstairs to lie under in the arvos with a few drinks, would definately stay here again.

3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 16, 2013

My wife, neice and I stayed at this villa from 6 to 13 March 2013 and this period coincided with Nyepi celebrations. If you are unfamiliar with Nyepi celebrations, as we were, then the island commences with a parade the night before followed by a 24 hour period of complete silence. That means no access to TV, you have to remain indoors, sound and light has to be minimal. We lost a complete 'tourist day' - but that's our fault through not conducting better research. This period of March is still quite hot and rains at least once a day. The villa itself is nothing special, in fact it is looking a little tired. You have a small pool at the front of the villa, three basic bedrooms and three basic bathrooms. Each bathroom sink has only a cold water tap. The kitchen is very basic, but provides just enough in order to prepare and serve meals. The villa has a microwave, and medium size fridge. A mobile phone is provided at the villa so you can call for a taxi or the manager etc. You will be required to pay a deposit (ours was AU$100.00), which will be deposited back into your bank account once the management is happy there is no damage to the villa and all issued keys are returned. The staff employed to service the villa are lovely people and more than willing to assist you in order for you to enjoy your stay. Having said that, we did have $AU800.00 stolen from the safe which would upset anyone, but the money will never be recovered, so you move on. The current safe has a keypad system, but also can be accessed by a key. The owners have informed me they intend replacing the safe with a better one. We paid AU$169.00 per night, which included an American style breakfast. The breakfast is very ordinary and consists of eggs (scrambled, fried or omelette), one very small piece of bacon and one very small sausage. Also provided is toast and something very yellow which resembles butter. Unless your taste buds decided to stay at home while your in Bali, do not bother testing your braveness by partaking of the yellow stuff - it is woeful and will give you nightmares. Also provided with breakfast is either orange or red cordial, served in a wine glass with a straw. On the first morning I had one sip of the red cordial and my sugar intake went through the roof. I have spoken to the Manager about the breakfast and he assured me he will look into it - with the intention of improving it. The Manager is prepared to organise a day tour for you - ours cost $400,000 Rupiah and we had a great day. Other places we visited were the volcano (fantastic) and Waterbom (fantastic). All in all, I would not stay at this villa again. I would choose either Kuta or Nusa Dua and visit Seminyak for a curiosity/shopping visit.

3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 31, 2013

I stayed here in March 2012 with 3 x 40 year olds.
The overall experience was OK but nothing OTT.
However, it is definitely value for money.
Four adults, 9 nights $1000.00 AUD with daily cleaning of pool and villa as well as fresh sheets every night.
The maid was absolutely wonderful and was always willing to go the extra mile.

The location was a bit spooky of a night time, being located up an ally way inside a couple sets of gates.
Little lighting walking up this ally, however we never en-counted any danger.

The pool was fantastic and used regularly.

We were a bit let down as the website had listed that a safe was provided, we soon found out that it was actually just a closet with a lock on it... Did not feel to comfortable leaving our valuables there...

All in all not too bad of a villa and no dramas with power or plumbing.

Being hidden away and not being a resort alot of the taxi drivers did not know where to take us and this was a problem for the first few nights until we became more familiar with our surroundings and just had them take us to a popular area of which we would just walk the rest of the way home.

POSITIVES:
- Very peaceful & Quite
- Ideal for a holiday of which you just relax at the villa
- Private pool
- Seminyak location
- All bedrooms have ensuites & air conditioning.
- Free Wi-Fi

NEGATIVES:
- The villa not being a resort was quite smelly and the smell stayed throughout the whole time of the trip and made a couple of us feel quite ill.
- I would not rate this villa child friendly due to the ally location and open pool.

The positives definitely outweigh the negatives and it really isn't that bad.

I definitely would recommend staying in a hotel or resort for your first visit to Bali as it just makes it a little more easier, stree free.

In July 2012 we had a week here, 2 x 50 year old married couples & my 22 year old daughter.
The 5 of us had a great time and didn't feel closed in, as the villa was certainly large enough for all of us. With 3 bedrooms all with en suites, our own pool & outdoor entertainment area,Surround
sound with music it was a very relaxing holiday.Considering how close it is to the busy streets there was virtually no noise to be heard from the street. Our only small problem was the hot water pump kept tripping out the power, but this was seen to promptly by the manager. Absolutely recommend to stay here, but small kids would need to be watched near the pool as you step out of the living area inyo the pool. Alan,Karen & friends. Devonport Tasmania, Australia
