“Picturesque and fun”
Reviewed April 12, 2014 via mobile

Very colourful and relaxing. When we arrived, the wait staff promptly searched for some coloured beanbags that were spare and seated us under a colourful umbrella. The cocktails were not that tasty, best to stick to the bintangs here. The food on the other hand was delicious. For approx $AU12 the misto plate was great value- prawns, calamari, tuna, sardines, squid plus wedges. My friend ate the local fish, Mahi Mahi and said it was also nice.
Very picturesque and great tunes in the background.

“One of the best spots for a sunset!!!!!”
Reviewed March 30, 2014 via mobile

Had heard about this place and just hadn't found the time to visit it.
Finally on this trip we got there, we got a taxi to drop us off just near Cocoon Beach Club and we just walked along to street until we got to La Plancha (head towards Seminyak).
We left it a little late so it was about 6.00pm when we were heading down the street, past several other beach bars along the way which were all quiet. I was thinking that it must be a quiet night and not many people were on the beach, that changed because La Plancha must be the place to be on the beach because it was packed. We walked in and headed down to the bean bags, limited amount left, but being only two of us we didn't have trouble finding a spot. (Don't worry about waiting to be seated you just head down and find a spot)
Staff were friendly and efficient considering they were busy.
Sunsets here are just amazing so be sure to take your camera down, and the colours from the bean bags and umbrella gives the place a happy feeling :)
Night time comes and the lights come on, even your table lights up and changes colour. :)
My Mum's not a beer drinker but it's was so crisp and cold that it's easy to drink. Didn't try any food as we had a reservation elsewhere, but the burgers coming out from the kitchen looked yummy.
Be prepared for the hawkers to try and sell you things, from sarongs to paintings, but if you say no thank you they were good at moving along.
Have always wanted to spent time at a beach bar and I am so glad that La Plancha was my first experience, will defiantly be back and will be recommending.

“Bean Bags and Beach”
Reviewed March 29, 2014

I guess La Plancha started setting the trend with colorful bean bags on the beach. Many bars have followed, but they haven't caught on to La Plancha's popularity. The music good, the service abundant and the food smelled good.
