“Best Place for Sunset”
Reviewed April 5, 2013

This place is just do perfect for sunset. The drink is great, really love my lemon mint and also my shrimps cocktail.. taste so good.. :) the only problem in here is the the waiters, sometimes took 15 minutes before i can get the menu. Should recruit more staff for better customer satisfaction.. :) But, overall, this place is perfect for your sunset..

“My favourite beach bar in Seminyak”
Reviewed April 4, 2013

We stayed in a hotel nearby and came here 4 times over a 7 day stay at different times of day... lunch, late evening drinks, sunset! It had been recommended by a friend living in Lombok. We sat in the main restaurant and also on the upstairs terrace a couple of times. The service really friendly although it's definitely busy so you might need to catch their attention to get served. I had the gazpacho 3 times but the best meals were the platos (main meals like tuna or mahi mahi) rather than the tapas dishes. Loved the multi-coloured bar, umbrellas, fairy lights... You'll need to get there early for a seat on a bean bag for sunset though! It's far from the pretentious ambience of some other Seminyak bars but still very cool and chilled. It closes by about midnight so pop on to Crystal Palace (much nicer than the names suggests!!) after sunset.

Will be dreaming of being back there when I'm back at my desk!

“Love watching the sunset here”
Reviewed April 1, 2013

This is a great place to watch the sunset - very chilled out, and brilliant with a nice cold Bintang in hand. Love the beach beanbags and the little light cube tables.

Great place to relax. Good atmosphere.

“Ku De Ta without the air-kissing”
Reviewed March 31, 2013

Seriously cool retro beach joint. La Plancha is riding the wave of Tex-Mex that is very "now" in Bali with a simple south-of-the-border menu including fresh uncomplicated seafood (grilled sardines, oysters, fish) with a Spanish twist (jamon!). Nautical themes abound with driftwood bench-tops, glass net floats and sandy floors.

Get here early, grab a bean bag, and enjoy the same sunset you'll see 200 yards up the sand at Ku De Ta with a lot less fuss and pretense. It'll be easier on the wallet too. Even if you're just stopping by for drinks while doing the jalan-jalan along the beach you shouldn't miss the place that is today what Ku De Ta was yesterday.

“Great for sunsets”
Reviewed March 31, 2013

A little hard to find but worth it in the end.. We opted to sit on the roof as the beach was so hot but the sunset still beautiful. The bean bags looked great and filled up pretty quick so if you want a bean bag get there about 4:30ish
Drinks a little more expensive than other places. Try the Black Iced Tea, best cocktail ever...
We had some of the bread which was lovely with the ailoli.
Staff were great and we didnt have to wait long for a drink...
If your after a place to watch the sunset without the price tag then this is a great place to sit and do it.
Will be going back next trip
