Went to La Planca as my sister recommended it. What a let down it was. The service was very poor and non existent. I was in the middle of ordering something with the waiter, when another waiter came over and interrupted. They continued to finish their conversation, then eventually returned the focus on us. The menu is boring and very limited. Our chips came out cold and the grilled prawns were also cold. The drinks were not amazing either. When it came to pay the bill, we had extra food on the bill which we do not order.
Even after such bad service the waiters still expect that they can keep your change. We asked for our change as we were leaving. Usually I tip everyone in Bali, needless to say this place did not deserve a few extra bucks.

hey randy
Thank you for the feedback.

We are continually updating & improving our food and beverage menus so it is invaluable to us to have feedback like this.

Please in future don't hesitate to bring any complaints to our attention on the day in question so we can resolve any issues more accurately as they arise.

As you can except in a spanish restaurant our menu here at La Plancha consists of simple & traditional spanish food & is rather extensive, ranging from smaller tapas option, salads, sharing plates to main meals & deserts. We hope that next time you return you will come & give our new food & drinks another try & would love do discuss your feedback with you further.

the place is good, beach front club. good to hang out with some friends or your couple. the sunset was great.
the only bad thing is the service of this place. the waiter seems to be lazy, they just ignoring the guest. waiting for your food is like waiting for ave maria to come down the earth! even if you just order an additional of 1 beer.
if you don't want to ruin your sunset mood, just order simple stuffs, so you won't wait forever for your food and drinks.

La Plancha is an interesting place with great decor. It's right on the beach, where they have bean bags to loll around in and tables which light up in different colours at night. The bean bags and the ground level restaurant were all full when we arrived, so we sat on an upstairs terrace and after sunset, virtually had the place to ourselves. None of the tapas appealed to us, so we ended up with a burger and I tried a glass of chardonnay but it was like vinegar. It was very peaceful upstairs and we were glad to be there when we saw the people on the beach being hassled by street vendors. The young man and woman serving on the terrace seemed to be having a bit of a domestic so I can't say the service was top notch, but it was a very relaxing evening. A little over-priced but I guess you pay for the excellent people watching.

We absolutely loved this little bean bag bar, it became our perfect place to end the day watching the sunset. The people were lovely and the food (especially the croquettes) was delish. The cruisy vibe, music and service was what kept us coming back. Our toddler loved it almost as much as us. Can't wait to go back there.

I enjoyed sitting in a beanbag sipping cocktails while waiting for the sun to set. La Plancha had a really fun feel to it. The food was lovely and the people watching was well great too. it took a little while for someone to take our order for 2nd round of drinks but from then on, we were looked after well. I would recommend La Plancha to anyone looking to have a few relaxing drinks on the beach. I will be back.
