We chose to dine here due to the excellent reviews on here and had requested a table near the pond as previous reviewers had recommended. The staff met our request and we had a fabulous table directly overlooking the pond which was lit with candles and lanterns. It really is a lovely setting for a romantic meal or special occasion, the building went above our expectations for design and overall appearance. We really enjoyed our Mezze, starters and mains, although we possibly over ordered as we didn't expect the Mezzes and appertizers to be so filling! A nice touch is the fact they refil the bread basket whilst you enjoy your Mezze. Drinks were reasonable, we ordered wine which by Bali standards was not a bad price. Staff were great and knowledgable on the different dishes; not too over attentive as per previous reviews. Overall a great dining experience in a lovely setting. Would revisit if we were to go to Seminyak again.

For us the menu was too western and over priced. Feel free to try it but we were disappointed

We ate at Tulip on our recent holiday in Bali. Our villa was off Batu Belig and this restaurant was quite nearby (although we still needed a taxi to get there). First of all...the restaurant itself is almost completely outside, yet covered...absolutely beautiful surroundings! Would be a great date spot but, alas, we were on vacation with our children. We had the mezzes plate to start and it was so good and filling. The main dishs were all good although a little small compared to American standards (so really they were just fine but they looked small). I always get baklava when dining at a Turkish restaurant and was a little disappointed in the baklava here, but a friend that dined with us thought it was quite good...to each his own!

Absolutely loved tulip. Dips were to die for, restaurant was quiet and romantic, and the setting with the water, lamps, candles and lighting was just beautiful. Breads were delicious, meat was great, cannot fault this place. Absolutely loved our romantic dinner here. Staff were lovely and service great...but need to back off a bit and give you a chance to think about your order, if you are a bit on the fussy side, this can be a tad off putting as it can make you feel as though you are being rushed to order, or made to order more than you want when you just want to relax and enjoy your meal...but in saying that, it's much better than not being able to attract a waiters attention for 10 minutes like many Australian restaurants. I think with a little bit more staff training this place can be a total winner. Well done Tulip, you exceeded my expectations...and the restaurant is just gorgeous!
