5 minutes after entering "The green room" i felt right "at home". It´s a beautiful green oasis in the middle of Seminyaks busy streets. The staff is super friendly (they remembered my name after less than 1 hour!) and always there for you if you need ANYTHING.
The atmosphere in the hotel / surf camp was amazing. Perfectly relaxed but with the right kind of motivation when it comes to surf sessions ;)
Surf sessions were perfectly organized and did all start on time. I enjoyed myself a lot during each and every surf session. All the guides I went with gave me really useful tipps to improve my surfing (timing, position, take-off). They always kept an eye on us - I felt save - even on my first reef break 500m out :)
Equippment (surfboards, leashes etc.) was in top shape. The guides checked if the board you got in the first place really matches your skill level - switching boards was really easy.
Long story short - the 2 weeks I spent with KIMA Surf at "The green room" make my top 3 list of all my holidays. I met wonderful people and had an amazing time.
I can really recommend this place to everyone who wants a truly relaxed surfing-holiday!

I spent 2 fantastic weeks learning to surf with the Kima team whilst staying at the green room. The staff were exceptionally friendly and the guides/instructors were great. The atmosphere at the camp is fantastic with everyone being open and welcoming irregardless of nationality. I'm already looking forward to my next visit!

We stayed at the camp for two weeks in November and found it to be really great. The surf instructors were nice and explained everything really well. The staff was always helpfull and friendly. The rooms were always clean and tidy. Overall a great experience and we would come back. Especially Wendi is a great example of how a front desk manager should be like!

it just stayed one week at the camp and this was my fourth time in the last 2 years.
always when i get there, it feels like coming home. the staff gives you a warm welcome and recognizes you, even after 6 month. the rooms are very clean and you get fresh towles and sheets every day. if you have any questions or wishes, there is always someone around to help you. i always love it to come back from the busy streets of bali, arriving at the green rooms feels like entering an oasis. the food is good and the prices quite reasonable. if you want to go out for dinner, within a few minutes walk you can reach a lot of different restaurants and also the beach is only a 5-10 minute walk away. the surfsessions are twice a day. the guides are generally very motivated and happy to help you to improve your surfing skills. the atmosphere is very chilled out and relaxed. i would definitely come back for my fiftht time, because you not only have a nice holiday and improve your surfing, you also find new friends for a lifetime and have unforgetable memories of your stay at the green room.

The Green Room Seminyak and Kima Surf is a really good choice if you're looking for a surfcamp in Bali.

The Green Room itself has a really nice relaxed feel to it. The pool area and the lounge area is really nice for chilling out. The food is really good, fresh and varied. The rooms are perfectly ok - they all have personal safes and they are clean. On the minus side - the beds are a bit hard and they can be quite hot at night.

The surfing is really good. From Monday to Friday there are two surf sessions every day - to surf spots of varying difficulty. There is usually a choice of at least five spots for each session, and room for six persons for each spot. The guides that drive you to the spots are really good surfers, and they all give you a good intro to the spots, where to get in etc. In the water, some of the guides are good at giving you hints and tips, while others leave you more to yourself.

The guests at the camp were mostly in their 20s and 30s, with an overweight of solo travellers. If you're travelling alone, this is really nice as most of the guests are open and interested in meeting new people.

All in all I had a great time at the camp, and I would certainly recommend it to anyone. The only reason not to go is if you have an issue with Germans. For some reason most of the guests are Germans (or Austrians or from the German speaking parts of Switzerland), but they all speak English and were all polite enough to switch to English when someone non-German entered the group.

We stayed at The Greem Room Seminyak for one week in September 2013 with Kima Surf. For short: we had an amazing time!!!

The Green Room really is as beautiful and relaxted as in the pictures. You don't need to worry about anything when you stay there! Just surf, eat and relax! If you want to arrange a trip or a taxi, the frontdesk staff is very willing to help you.

Also the food was really nice, the smoothies amazing (so refreshing after surfing!) and the staff was so extremly friendly (in a good way, not a 'fake friendly' way). They even remembered our names when we came back after 2 weeks. During the week we stayed there, they changed the breakfast system (which was included). Instead of a buffet you can now select a certain number of items from a menu. Although the old breakfast was nice, this was even nicer! So many nice items to choice from and definitely more than enough! It was nice to see that even though nobody was complaining, they keep innovating and improving there ways.

The rooms are spacious and bed ok. We were happy to see that there were rooms without airco, because we always get a cold from airco. We had a fan on each side of the bed and this was fine.

We met many nice and friendly people and everything was arranged so well. Many Germans and Swiss, but we also met Dutch people, Canadians and Americans. Ages ranged between early twenties to thirty/forties, all with a relaxed attitude.

The Green Room is close to the beach and many shops. The first days we walked with surfboards to the beach (about 5-10min walk). This surfspot was good for beginners. We could borrow bicycles for free to go to Kuta (or 30min walk).

We had an excellent stay at the Green Room and I can definitely recommend it to you if you like surfing!
