We have just returned from 5 nights at Nunia Villa and were quite satisfied with the service. We started off with abit of a hiccup regarding our transfer to and from the airport as they did not pick us up, We did use a scoopon voucher however an email was sent confirming our flight no. etc.. Once we arrived they could not understand and said that it was a problem with the travel agent which we did not go through. We left early in the morning to a mates hotel in Kuta and the staff asked us where we were going, and we told them, so they decided to take us for 200,000rp we were astonished and said thanks but no thanks. So please check with them regarding your transfers prior to.

The villa itself was very clean and the cleaners did a great job as we had a couple of parties. Each night the staff would come and spray our room with mosquito repellant and certainly helped us at night. Our shower head was abit disappointing but the outside shower was razzling and was used all the time.

The Breakfast wasn't the best but sufficed for the first couple of days.

The staff very friendly and helpful apart from the transfer debacles but would recommend for a couple.

Room Tip: DIdnt have a problem with noise..great location

We have just returned from 8 glorious days at Villa Nunia. I will try to write a balanced review taking into account everything I read in the other reviews. Firstly the hit and miss reviews almost had me book another villa however we are very happy we didint.

Nunia is not pretentious or flash, it is however a comfortable well laid out, spacious home away from home.

Location: We found it great, 5 minutes walk to eat street and 15 minutes walk to the beach (through sentosa - which is down the same lane way.) We found the entrance to the villa great as it is a wide well lit laneway so never worried about security or falling into a gutter. We had a small torch with us anyway as the foothpaths in bali are generally not too great.

Villa Service: Service was second to none, the staff amazing.. no request was too much for them and no bad attitude in sight, we felt truly welcome and our boy was doted on and completely spoilt the entire stay. Everyone knew our names from the first day. Lots of little things made our stay special, for example, our sone wanted to feed the coy in the pond, a man arrived within 2 mintues with fish food, another night our sons teddy got mixed up with the laundry.. the staff searched for hours through all the laundry and by some small miracle managed to get him back. It was always service with a smile and prompt!

Villa condition: Other reviews mentioned the general cleanliness was a bit lacking, OK, so yes on arrival the floor was a bit sticky, no problem, the staff mopped it everyday for us. There are water stains on the tiles in the bathroom.. but really its no big deal.. I cant believe some people make so much fuss over such trivial things. Despite what I read in other reviews the sheets and towels were all fine - not grey! Negatives did include, no mossie net in the second bedroom, again only minor inconvenience as staff do provide you with a can of spray on arrival. Also the couch is a bit stained... again not really a worry.. it looked as though someones child had gone to town with crayons on it.. but it just made us feel more at home and able to relax with our own child. Other small negatives - loose planks on the lounge chairs, and outdoor shower door was a bit hard to open as it was hung too low and got caught on the tiles. All trivial things that would have no impact on your holiday.

Layout: great couldnt ask for better, the bifolds could be open all day to the pool and closed at night to keep the mossies out. The one bedroom has living and bedroom together but the two bedroom is two separate dwellings which might be seen as a slight inconvenience, for us it was no problem.

Pool: The pool is huge, almost 10 m long and beautiful. Great long step for kids to play on. The down side is the pool fence was a bit flimsy and could be pushed in by an older toddler, so we opted to have no pool fence.

So to sum up Nunia is not a flash, or a super sophisticated venue.. it is comfortable spacious..and great value for money at under $300 per night. There are tvs in every room and loads of places to just lounge around.. the bale was amazing and if you get villa 2, you have the afternoon sun on you if you are after a tan.. probably the only real negative was the room service food.. but again.. just take a 5 minute walk and youre in the middle of eat street... no problem!

My husband, I and our 18month old child recently stayed at Nunia Villas and can't say that it impressed us much. First of all, our driver wasn't at the airport to pick us up, so we had to get a cab after 20mins of waiting. Not a fun task with an overtired, cranky toddler! We ended up having to pay 150,000rp for the cab and I explained this to the lady at Nunia when we checked in and asked if it would be reimbursed to us. All she said was 'yes, yes, no problem', but upon checkout a week later I had to ask again that this cost be taken off our bill. The staff at Nunia were all lovely and prompt in assisting when they could. The villa itself was nice and roomy but basic things like no welcome book to explain the procedures of the villas, the microwave not working, no handtowell/tea towell in the kitchen, lots of mosquitoes inside, a faulty dvd player and a very highly chlorinated poor did cast a shadow over our stay. The staff didn't seem to have enough procedures in place. For example, upon returning home after dinner every night with a tired baby, someone would rush into our villa to ask what we wanted for breakfast, because they had forgotten to do it earlier. The location isn't the best either with a toddler, but for a couple or people without young kids the walk into Seminyak isn't too bad.
Nunia villa has so much potential, but I feel that management need to overhaul their organisational methods for it to reach its full potential.

Just returned from a 4 nights stay at the Villa. Travelled with a 29months old active toddler and stayed in Villa #3. Overall, the villa is nice but could be better with the following improvements:
1. Overall cleanliness of villa should be looked into. Looks of water stain all over the toilet area and the floor of the villa felt sticky.
2. Towels provided were more grey than white in color.
3. Since there is a kitchen area, it will be good to provide some hand towel so that guests could use.

We stayed at Nunia Villas after leaving another villa that we hated! The staff managed to get us into a villa despite it being peak season! I cannot recommend this place enough it was relaxing, private, clean and had great fit out with enclosed living area with bi-fold doors opening to our pool and deck, all on one level too!
The staff were the best, we will stay again soon!
