The villas is in a good location close to Seminyak Square, however the villa was very badly designed. We only stayed one night had major problems getting internet had to get maintenance in at 11pm as could not lock main door so they had to drill hole in floor. Next morning again no internet also no phone service. To get to the pool lounges one had to hop in pool with towels on head to get to the other side and getting in and out of the pool on the side where lounges were was an excerise...no steps.

Room tip: If all villas are the same as the one we had....then they are all poorly designed

The Villa looked impressive when we booked it. It is clean, the staff are good, however, we could not lock our villa, so we had a technician in our room at 11 pm drilling holes in the tiled floor to allow us to lock our room. The front door to the Villa is away from the main part of the sleeping accomodation and as it was raining, you have to go out get wet to let the staff in. The pool is huge, ridiculously so......if you want to laze on the lounges by the pool you have to swim your towels...or anything else you may want across the pool, there isn't an easy way to get to the lounges. The dining area is outside which is fine but it is sunken with no steps to get down 😳.......really poor layout. Our phone didn't work in the Villa and reception is a long way from the villa. The location is fine, close to main Seminyak...but it is quiet. The sleeping part of the villa is glas on 4 sides so it's a bit fishbowl like.

Stayed here a in early April for 2 nights and upon arrival the reception is simple and on top of a staircase. Due to the price we paid we were expecting something a bit more flashy and luxurious, not to say it wasn't very comfortable, but the facilities of the building are falling apart and you can tell that it is reaching 10 years old. The tiny single bathroom at reception is quite disgusting and we were a bit surprised at it. The location is great, a very short walk to Seminyak Square and we didn't use the shuttle bus.

Photos on the website are pretty on point but they don't show you how old the building and construction is. When you stay you'll see quite a few things broken (Wooden sliding doors get stuck very easily in Villa 5, cracking walls in the outdoor bathroom and mould, broken cabinets and rusting closures within the doors in the bedroom.) The sliding doors really need to be replaced as it was most annoying trying to get in and out and keep the air con inside, and to maintain privacy if you get a little sick.

Staff were great and friendly, always helpful and no issue. It is more management that needs to invest in fixing up the small issues in each villa if they expect to charge upwards >$300 a night for a villa. We stayed in a villa in ubud for $85 and it was much the same and better value for money. The pool was great and cleaned daily. Not enough hooks/drying towel racks in the bathroom.

Just a note they have little ceramic shower gels in the bathroom which I'd recommend not using as they are very slippery and one got broken, costing us 175000 IDR as a flat fee from management. A bit of a high cost for such a tiny amenity.

We had a good stay, not amazing but not terrible. Probably wouldn't stay here again as there are other properties at similar prices that are in better condition. Consider paying less elsewhere and not feel a bit ripped off.

Note: On Expedia this hotel is also called Ziva A Boutique Villas"

My husband and I recently stayed at Ziva Villa as part of our honeymoon stay in Bali, it was a nice stay and if the price was right we would definitely stay again.

Pros:
The Villas are located in a fantastic part of Seminyak with only a 5 minute walk to the heart of Seminyak Square.

The villa pool is absolutely amazing, they are one of the biggest i've seen for a one bedroom villa in Bali.

The Staff are really helpful.

Cons:
If i'm going to be honest, the breakfast was a let down for us. Although there is a lot to choose from, the quality could be a lot better for the price you pay for the villa. Our food was quite oily, food mostly came out cold, milk was forgotten with our tea and no water was provided at breakfast time. If this could improve, would be a great addition.

The whole villa is surrounded by windows which has curtains to draw close, with the exception of one area to the bathroom where sunlight comes through. Would be good if this could have curtains too.

Tip:
Try and ask for Villa 4. It has an L shaped pool and is away from street traffic.

Thank you Ziva Villa for making our stay in Bali perfect!

The pool was huge and clean, the whole villa is just really beautiful and modern. Words can't explain how much I love this villa. Very close to Seminyak area as well, around 15 mins walk to Seminyak Square. The butler came in the morning to make us breakfast, we had breakfast by the pool.

This is minor but the bathroom area is semi-outdoor with no actual door so some water spilled out during shower.

Would definitely recommend anyone to stay at here. Can't wait for our next trip to Bali and to stay at Ziva again.
