We stayed in apartment 104.
Lanny was most accommodating and so were her staff. We initially booked for 7 nights but ended up staying nearly three weeks. The boys always had a smile and were welcoming in all instances. If you needed anything, they were willing to help. Although, their English was a little broken, they certainly tried their best and that is what mattered. And given the previous review, things sound like they have improved. We all learn by mistakes made.
The rooms were spacious and modern. With a separate bedroom and en-suite bathroom. There was a kitchenette with gas stove and enough crockery for two people. There was a pan and frying pan also supplied at no extra cost and so, cooking small meals for two was easy and convenient. There was also a supermarket at the end of the road, which was handy for bits and bobs. There was a couch and coffee table. Aircon in both the living room and bedroom, which worked and was often too good at what it did. The living room overlooked the pool, all of the apartments do. And you were no more than a few feet away from cooling dip.
The rooms were cleaned daily and the linens refreshed likewise. The boys did a good job of the cleaning responsibilities and were always busy somewhere in the complex, sweeping, wiping, cleaning. We also got two bottles of complimentary water on a daily basis and breakfast was delivered to your room at a time convenient to you. Breakfast consisted of two pieces of toast and some fruit. Basic yes, but adequate enough for us. Tea and coffee was also included and if you fancied a coffee later in the day, they were happy to supply you with the necessaries.
The TV selection was excellent, the best so far. Both reception and choice were superb. You had numerous movie channels, documentary channels and news channels. There was also a DVD player with USB connectivity, so you could borrow a movie from the front desk or load your own onto USB and watch them whenever. The internet was a little flaky and slow, which you eventually get used to, after all this is Bali and not Korea and, as such, is typical across the island. However, it was frustrating at times.
There were at least three town wide power outages whilst we were there, but the property has its own generator so within minutes the power was back up.
The location is a little out of the way on first glance, and yes the road outside is more of a dirt track. However, bear in mind this Bali and not Paris. You are only a five minute walk from at least three main streets of Seminyak. To enjoy the nightlife you will need to walk about ten minutes into the town. Kuta is a taxi ride away, but on comparison, Seminyak was clearly the better choice for food and drinks. This meant that Casa is quiet and noise free, in relation to music and traffic noises. However, some of the guests who insist on chatting to each other with their doors open at the crack of dawn, did disturb us on one or two mornings.
Overall, it was a very pleasant stay and felt like home for brief moments, during nights in with the TV on. I would definitely stay again and would not hesitate to recommend this establishment.
