I stayed at the Studio for 3 nights because of the low price compared to other hotels in Seminyak. For the price you pay, I think it is excellent value - the rooms are very large, with sitting area, large bed & bathroom. All rooms have mini fridge and coffee/tea making facilities. The rooms are decorated with style. DVD player with surround sound system was great ! There is a small pool in the pretty and well maintained garden. The guys working there are very friendly and helpfull. You can buy cold drinks from them at reasonable prices. If you book a taxi, it will be there in a few minutes.

I did walk once to the centre of Seminyak - about 15-20 minutes, but recommend taking a taxi instead (costing you only 1 Euro) since it is not a nice road to walk on. The hotel itself is pretty quiet though, so I have some good night sleep away from Seminyak noise. If I return, I will stay here again.

About Seminyak - this is a tourist town full of shops and hip , overpriced restaurants. The beach is quiet ugly and it is just mass tourism here, mostly coming from Australia - if you want to experience the real Bali, stay in Ubud instead (no beach there though) ,

Room Tip: I had a room on the first floor (106) - nice view over the garden. But all of their rooms are aboiut...

I've been staying at studio bali two years in a row, the first year breakfast was included in the price, this year the breakfast was not included and had to be ordered in advance at a cost of Rp.35k, we ended up ordering breakfast from McDonalds (delivery) instead wich worked just as well and was nicer than the hotels breakfast.

The location on "the wrong" side of Sunset Road is fine, it's just a small drive (we had a rental car for our entire stay) to Central Seminyak or double 6 beach (the hotell also has a shuttlebus that takes hotell guests to these locations).

The rooms are very spacious, clean and with aircon, there is a computer in each room but I would recommend using your own laptop or iPad instead.

We stayed in room 108 this year, and would recommend it since the aircon position is not blowing straight at you in the bedroom.

Room Tip: Room 108 was great, the rooms on ground floor have a bigger living room.

+ The rooms were big, hotels shuttle bus was good, staff was friendly, the rooms were clean.
- The location was poor, you had to use a scooter or the hotels shuttle bus to get somewhere, every single noise came through the walls, breakfast was quite lame (if you want one), pool was small.

Room Tip: There really isn`t any seaview because the hotel is so far from the sea.

I stayed here for a couple of nights over my birthday. Was with a guy I was dating at the time, and the place and staff were definitely gay-friendly. We managed to stay in villa 208, all the way at the end of the path skirting the rice paddy. The villa exceeded my expectations in every way--from cleanliness to comfort and other amenities (an MP3 player, so cool!). With great light, high ceilings, a porch, and a full kitchen, the value for money was extremely high. The pool's even fun. I was really impressed, especially at USD 60 (IDR 550K) per night. The hotel rooms are even less expensive, but splurge and get the villa if available.

It's worth renting a motorbike from the joint next door in order to get in and out of town. Some people may want to be near or right on the beach, but I was totally content to retreat a few kilometers inland each night, making The Studio a perfect option.

Room Tip: Choose villa 208, you'll be left undisturbed. Otherwise, there will be people walking by your vi...

I stayed in this hotel on 24th to 26th August 2011, it was almost Idul Fitri holiday so i was expecting that this place will be packed. to my surprise, i could book the room easily, 1 hotel room and 1 villa. The place is closed from Bypass road and adjacent to many Seminyak attractions. its not hard to find it. the first impression about this hotel was this is a boutique hotel, very tiny from outside but when we showed our rooms, i was quite impressed that the size of the room is bigger that the rooms i used to stay in Legian area. the bed is a king size bed and there is a living room area with a PC and dvd, small sink with fridge and toilet. the door is facing the mini pool so it was quite relaxing. When I checked the villa type i was more impressed by the arrangement of the villa with the double terrace, facing front side and the rice paddy. there is a small pantry in the villa where we can cook. the bathroom was spacious with closet inside them. What impressed me most is the service, my AC was leaked on 2 AM and the room service brought the technician in almost no time, the staffs are also very nice and friendly. Overall i had a pleasant budget stay....with $ 52 dollars what else can you ask.......

Room Tip: room 104 is the best!
