“Rooms will not well maintain with poor services!!!”
Reviewed June 12, 2012

It is a small villa hotel which only have two 2bedrooms and one 1bedroom villas which is not well maintain. Their room is dirty, tap water smell like pool water, also beware of their products they provided. The cotton wool for ears. My boyfriend used it and the wool drop it in to his ear. The wool is not properly well stick to the stick. When we ask the manager to be responsible, They suggested to the call doctor and want us to pay for the medical fees. They said he is the one who should be paying for the medical fees cos he is the one using it. And also told us that so many people use it with no problem but only we have problems. Which I just realize that there are same issue with others staying there commenting on the same thing in agoda.com. We check out other wool sticks too. And all of it is also lose and easily pull out without much force. The room is cheap but every service in the hotel is like double of from other hotels or outside. The electricity went of about three or four times a night during our stay, internet access also worst than other hotels we stay in Bali. A total of 3 hotels I stay in and this is the worst. I will never come back to stay with this hotel again.

It is also very difficult to find. Better not to go. Is a waste of time. I rather pay a few hundred more just for a better place, better service than spoil our whole trip spending time arguing, finding doctors to take out the wool and also paying extra money for the medication!!!!!!

We stayed at the 1 bedroom villa for our 4 days 3 nights. It was our honeymoon. We absolutely love our stay here. Our pick up driver, Bambang was there when we arrived. He's not only polite, charming but he did not 'force' us to visit the various places but he gives us the liberty to choose. As he is aware that we are there for our honeymoon, he brought us to places that totally captured that romantic moment and makes it magical.

The villa is spacious. My husband loves to dip in the pool and the bed is comfy. We also love to laze in the bathtub. We didn't use the showers so we can't rate on that. The villa is clean and we had real privacy. :)

We have no trouble with the location as I have the map with me and we also recognise a few landmarks that leads to our villa. The receptionist was so attentive to our request like calling the masseuse for us, calling the taxi service and making sure our villa is clean and tidy. We really had our privacy and albeit the breakfast range is limited, we do not mind at all cos it's delicious.

Overall, from the bottom of our heart, we really want to thank Bambang and also the people there that has made our stay an enjoyable one.

We stayed here for the last part of our 2 week holiday. The villa was beautiful as were the staff. Nothing was too much trouble. The bed was very comfortable and the pillows - I would have liked to take home with me - they were beautiful. The clean sheets every day were a real treat. I loved the outside bathrooms and the fact that it had a bath & 2 showers. The pool was a great size and the garden was very well maintained.

On the downside, none of the taxi drivers knew where it was. Good job it wasn't too far from the main road to remember where to go.

Having just returned after spending 5 nights in the one bedroom villa # 3, I would definitely recommend staying here, if you want a relaxing, romantic and luxurious place to stay with great value for money and exceptional service.

We were greeted at the airport with a driver from grania called beng beng and he was very friendly, opened doors for us, took my luggage, etc. Once we got to grania, they opened our doors grabbed our luggage and showed us to our villa.

Our villa was modern, comfortable and had a flat screen, stereo, awesome water dispenser which had boiled, cold and warm water which was a great help as you can't drink tap water, medium sized fridge, microwave, cooking utensils, with gas stove. The bedroom had air con, desk, a wonderful bed and the best pillows!! The bathroom is spacious, with a luxurious bath/shower and great outdoor shower aswell. We were a little uncomfortable with not being able to flush toilet paper, and the use of the hose is something that you have to do in Thailand aswell. But we noticed you had to do this at every other place we went to on our holiday, including KFC.

The staff were wonderful, very humble, welcoming, and friendly. They couldn't do enough for us, they organised a driver for us called Nyoman and for A$40/day he drove us to ubud, and took us to a barong dance, silversmith, monkey forest to name a few. He was very good at speaking English, and every place he took us, he was offered fruit as a thank you token for taking us there. He could of eaten it for himself, but he chose to give it to us so we can try the Indonesian fruit, which was thoughtful. We didn't pay fuel or parking, which is something he had to do wherever we went. He opened our doors for us and we enjoyed his tour so much that we asked him to drive us the next day aswell. Thoroughly recommend Nyoman!!

With the staff, they did a turndown service, and we never had Mosquitos in our villa at all, the two men that performed the turn down were friendly, courteous and efficient. The breakfasts were beautiful and filling, and one day we had Mie goreng which was suggested by one of the young male staff, it was delicious!! I think the staff all work together to get the job done, which is pleasing to see, they helped with our ordering of meals, they organised for my husband and I to have massages in our villa, and even gave us a connector for the power point to use on our whole trip. They took our laundry for us and ensured our mini bar was stocked when we got back. They were even nice enough to let us stay until late afternoon and organised our driver to drop us back to the airport. If I had more cash on me, I would of given them a larger tip.

One day we didn't have a driver, but realised that seminyak is only a short walk away, so we wandered, and found it easy to get back. Advertising would definitely help grania gain a status in the tourism industry, as it is in back streets, but with villas all around, and it's a safe neighbourhood.

All in all, I thoroughly enjoyed my first stay in Bali and I thank grania Bali villas, beng beng and Nyoman wholeheartedly for making this trip a memorable one.

Grania Bali Villa was our final accommodation during our 7 days visit to Bali. Stayed there for 2 nights with my husband in the 1 bedroom villa. The villa is spacious enough for the 2 of us with one big swimming pool that you could do laps in, a mini garden and dining area to have your breakfast in the morning for the exterior part. Interior the villa is divided into 2 parts, the bedroom and one living room. Air condition is only in the bedroom area, so living room can feel quite hot in the afternoon, thou with ceiling fan's on. There is no lobby area for this villa, only one mgmt office so it feels a bit weird to me not seeing any other guest.

The facilities is quite complete. They have one kitchen area, utensils for cooking and dining, one big fridge to store drinks and food, water dispenser, DVD and TV and they also provide butler services which is good. You can request the staff's help for almost anything and they are very nice indeed. Food delivery services is also available.

The bathroom is quite spacious too however there is something wrong with the shower head of the semi outdoor shower area, there was no hot water. But we didnt really complaint as we think we can always shower using the bathtub shower. Amenities is quite basic too, almost similar with any other villa in Bali

The location is quite secluded and our taxi driver cant find this area. So, if you are coming here perhaps you can print the map in advance t guide the driver. We rented bicycle so it is quite easy to go around, but may not be the same situation should you choose to walk.

The breakfast is quite basic too and it was cooked in our villa by the staff. Juice was freshly made however we didnt really enjoy our egg dishes as we thought it was quite bland.

All in all, it is a nice villa to stay for its privacy and space. Even though the villa were just launched in 2010, perhaps little maintenance needed to make it look ageless

We stayed in a 1 bedroom villa (a total of 4 villas for this place) and everything looked pretty much what you'd find in the photos. Bed room, living room and pool were quite clean, the bed was very comfy and the living room was nice and bright.

On the down side, there wasn't enough hot water for showers, pool area was kind of small and the breakfast was awful. It also seemed that the manager wanted to charge us on all the extras that he could think of. For example, he wanted to charge extra for our 5 year old daughter, though they did charge us for the lost umbrella for 50,000IDR. The airport pickup cost us 200,000IDR, but it would've been way cheaper if we ordered our own taxi. Lastly, it was hard to find as it was through a bunch of small alleys and roads (luckily we memorized the route quickly to guide the taxis that took us back).

Just returned from 10 days in Bali staying firstly at the Grania Bali Villas.Have got to say it was simply amazing. It was a double storey villa with king size bed downstairs and 2 king singles upstairs. The bed was sooo comfortable. Each day we were treated to clean linen and beds turned down. The villa was air-conditioned so great for a good nights sleep. Each day we were cooked breakfast including a traditional nasi goreng on one occasion. The breakfasts were prepared by 2 lovely Balinese staff who simply could not do enough for us.We had our own private pool which was clean and big enough to do laps in (so not just a "token" private pool). The gardens were beautifully maintained and clean. I relaxed each day on the couch on the open verandah viewing the pool. The staff were very lovely and as mentioned could not do enough for us.We will definitely be returning. On the down side it was a cab ride if we did need to go anywhere but hey the cost was only RP30000 to Kuta so it was never a problem.
