As much as Seminyak can be crazy, you would never know in this hotel. Serenity in rooms where a comfortable bed, great private pool, delicious meals and very attentive service awaits. We stayed here during my wife’s birthday and they brought her a surprise birthday cake with breakfast. Staff also made a point to wish her happy birthday when they saw her during the day.

My husband and I stayed here for our honeymoon, and out of the 3 different hotels we stayed at, The Amala was our favorite by far! Since we were on our honeymoon, they upgraded us from a spa villa to a pool villa at no additional cost. So we had a giant pool all to ourselves. The spa was wonderful (you get a 1hr daily couples massage with the spa package) and the property itself was just beautiful. But amenities and accommodations aside, what made our stay 5 stars was the staff. They knew us by name and greeted us anytime we walked by. They were also very helpful - they packed us a boxed breakfast when we had to leave the hotel at 6am for an early excursion, they organized a taxi for us, and Sara even let me use her personal cell phone to call my next hotel in Ubud. (I didn't have a sim card). Sara and Yasa were the best! We sat down with them and talked about how we got over charged during our shopping trip (a taxi we had picked up charged us triple than normal and we ended up paying way too much for some souvenirs) and they gave us some tips and recommendations on how to avoid that, and what a normal price for a taxi should be. When it was time to check out, they sent us off with a honeymoon gift and were just so sweet.
If we ever find ourselves in Seminyak again, we'll definitely book our stay at The Amala. PS: The minibar was complimentary. I've never seen that from a hotel before!

Peaceful, quiet, tranquil, the atmosphere transforms you and we were immediately relaxed. From the moment you arrive you are treated so well. They can’t do enough for you and when they say family, its how they make you feel. They were so gracious and we had fun with them as well. The free taxi is such an amazing bonus, and we used as much as we could. They were very knowledgeable about local restaurants that would suit us.
Our room was wonderful, everything was special, the products provided and the home made shortbread biscuits, and a different fruit every day with an explanation as to what it was.
It as quite quirky having an outside toilet and shower. The staff prepared the rooms to a very high standard.
The breakfast was Fantastic! And eating in the restaurant was such a lovely start to the day.
Did spend some time around the pool, which we had to ourselves.
It was absolutely wonderful here.

We rent our private pool villa there and it was an excellent choice , everything around you is amazing starting from welcoming till saying goodbye, the quietness in this place makes your stress free .. with no doubts one of the best places We’ve ever been to. The staff is really marvelous too & the service is beyond awesome. A must try place.
