Went to the Grocer and Grind for a meeting in the afternoon, it was very hot outside but when you come in to this place was so relaxing even though it's quite busy. The foods & drinks are lovely and also the staff are friendly and it very near to every fabulous places in Seminyak.

Our group of 6 went for breakfast last week as we had heard good things.
Coffee tasted like warm milk.
I ordered only to be told 5 minutes later that they were out of chorizo (which was in every 2nd dish on the menu). I suggested they could make the same thing but with sausage/bacon. I received some burnt crunchy bacon.
My partners breakfast was brought out, he had ordered the Moroccan Eggs which were to come with chilli jam (or similar). There was no sauce on his plate...just 2 eggs 2 sausages and a tortilla....we assumed the sauce msut still be coming...10 minutes later we asked the waitress and she said it was still coming...another 5 minutes later it hadn't shown up and we told the manager. Her response was 'oh the supplier didn't come with my order yet so we don't have any...sorry'. There was no offer to re-heat the meal or for a different choice. We had also ordered sides of hasbrowns...only one of these came, they later told us they had run out.
Very poor to have not been told up front that significant portions of the menu were not available. Our bill was then incorrect. Will not be going back.

This place looks trendy and cool but the food is only so so. My husband and I stopped for lunch here one day and got two fruit juices, a burger and salad. The burger was the only good thing. Our juices were very watered down and the worst of our trip (go to Sea Circus for watermelon juice. You can even get it for take out). My spinach salad was okay, but the spinach was in huge pieces and there was not much else in it. It also came with crostini...which was soggy and flavourless. This was also one of the few places we had trouble getting a waitor to take our order as well.

Decent coffee, tasty food but very average service. Have had coffee's here every day of our holiday, sometimes cake (which was a bit dry) and always felt like going back. This morning went for breakfast which was disappointing.

Arrived at 7:30, were given menus and then when ready to order told that the kitchen didn't open till 8. Fine, moved to the other room because the music was too loud to hold a conversation, then the music got turned up in the other room. Ordered at 8, by this time I'm walking around with the baby to keep her quiet so as not to disturb other patrons - see hubby's eggs sitting in the serving area. Finally get our food 15 mins later, send back the eggs as they were cold, which they were thankfully obliging about. Florentine was good, Moroccan eggs had
terrible presentation but tasted ok. Then more difficulty trying to get anyone's attention for the bill.

Will be back for takeaways but prob not eat in food, which is a shame as it has a nice vibe about it but not worth the frustration. They did have high chairs which is a bonus.
