“Casual, shabby chick and funky!”
Reviewed March 20, 2013 via mobile

We walked past and were intrigued by the French inspired property with the verandah shielded by plants. We sat on the verandah and felt relaxed as if we were away from the busy streets of Seminyak. The staff were lovely and the food was fantastic. Great sushi, wonderful fresh spring rolls and perhaps the best edamame beans! We went back the next night for dinner and were not disappointed, thank you!

“Nice decor shocking food and service”
Reviewed March 20, 2013

We were really excited when we arrived. The place looked just beautiful. But if we wanted to go somewhere for looks we could have gone to a museum. We had to call them to order drinks. Coffee was terrible. Then we had to call them again to order food. We had the Nasi goreng the most basic of Indonesian food and a chicken quesadilla. Both were just awful . Not sure how they could get it so wrong. we sent most of the meal back to the kitchen paid our bill and left

“Great Value”
Reviewed March 19, 2013

Our second visit. One can see why this place is always buzzing and many of the surrounding , cafes, restaurants & other eateries are either empty or very quiet.

What a lovely welcome to walk through the door and see something "different". Call it shabby chic, colonial or whatever you want - it is clean , the staff all attentive and the food is really good. Bathrooms too were nice and clean.
The whole atmosphere is welcoming.Hope they keep it up.Value for money.

Not only Europeans in the cafe but I notice mainland Chinese, Japanese, Italian, Russian and they all looked pretty happy .
Will make it a point to return.

“Good value for money, nice decoration”
Reviewed March 7, 2013

For a family dinner we had a nice experience at Café Bali: they do have a valet service which is a must if you come by car in the area, and we were well received by the staff.
We do like the decoration which is done with a sense of detail and creates an intimate ambiance, which we see adapted for a family dinner, in couple or with friends.
The service is very fast, and that would be our only minus: clearly you feel that after some time they are thinking about the next customers. But we felt no excessive pressure and again, had a good moment there.
Nice coktails: we don't use to order some but the price was nice and the atmosphere great, so we went into the experience and it was a good choice.

“Looks good, smells good, tastes great.”
Reviewed March 3, 2013 via mobile

Walking around Seminyak centre found all the big swanky places, the Japanese, Italian and Western.
Walked past Cafe Bali and then looked at the menu.
A collective of styles Asian, French, Indian and western.
Lots of people seated and enjoying themselves.
A very colonial look to the layout. Grabbed a table for two inside and started with a lemon iced tea, very nice cold and tall.
Leek tart, Indian chicken curry with rice, Dahl and naan bread with a side or of 6 steamed prawn dumplings.
Thought we would stay elcectic. Very glad we did the prawn dumplings were fantastic. Big prawns just opaque soft pastry and big flavour.
The targ and chicken were very nice but the dumplings stood out.

Thought we might try dessert and went with a couple of classics. Profiteroles and lemon meringue pie.
This place is very very good. Great food swift service even when lots of tables and a price that saw no mains over 10aud.

Once again a great find.
