“Worth the journey”
Reviewed July 4, 2013

We travelled by taxi from Sanur to meet friends at Chandi - it was worth the horrendous drive! My wife is a vegetarian and the choices available to her were so good I ( a confirmed meat eater ) actually chose the same starter and main course she did. I feel for vegetarians who are often regarded by chefs as unusual people with strange habits, not worthy of much beyond a quick vegetable stack which is of course great for the chef's food costs but not particularly inspiring for their non meat eating customer. The options for vegetarians are clever, well thought out dishes. The rest of our party enjoyed a range of dishes and the service was excellent. Around $2.4M rupiah for six people included quite a few drinks. Some might suggest Seminyak is up itself and there is certainly no shortage of pretentious food operators around 'Eat Street' but Chandi is the real deal. For when you want to treat yourself.

“Great food, service, cleanliness”

Great meal, ordered a little too much. But, hey we are on holiday. Mixed satay platter, Nasi goreng are great. Finished with a mojito & shisha.

“Very nice - great service”
Reviewed July 1, 2013

Very nice food - good cocktails too. We were here twice, lovely crispy duck one night and the tasting menu on another. Whilst not cheap, it's not too expensive so is good value.

“Divine dinner”
Reviewed June 30, 2013

loved the choice of lots of different starters, I chose a few different ones instead of a main, the roti with curry sauce was flaky and hot, there were some yummy little betel leaves with beef salad and toasted coconut on top, was amazing, and the creme brulee had long ribbons of baby coconut in the custard which was so tender and delicate. I loved this restaurant and would've come here every night if I had been able!
