Description: SIP is a trendy and animated French brasserie-like in the heart of bustling Seminyak in Bali. Authentic French regional cuisine is its culinary identity enhanced by one of the most comprehensive wine lists in Indonesia, offering no less than 16 wines by the glass, daily.SIP thrives to maintain its reputation of ‘high quality-affordable’ bistro/brasserie with a perky ambience, providing a truthful and relevant piece of Paris in Bali.Gallic fun under the tropics!

Sip is a very high class French bistro in the heart of Seminyak, just across the road from Bintang Supermarket. It is owned and run by Christian Vanneque who started his career in France as a Sommelier. As a result the wine list is extensive and varied with wines of excellent quality from the "old world" and the "new world".
The menu is small but adequate with an emphasis on traditional French peasant and bistro styles. There are several options for set menu or you can go a la carte.
The staff are very well trained and the service is an entertainment of itself with staff constantly waiting to attend to your every need.
The decor is typical French Bistro, with a red glazed ceiling and striking light fitting.
The toilet is one of the best in Bali (or anywhere) and comes equipped with a TV and range of toiletries, including pain killers and alka seltzer!
Food is well prepared and delicious.
Sip is an adult venue. There are no "kid's menu" options.
There is a small, covered outdoor area and the inside section.
Sip is not a cheap restaurant. The prices are on a par with high quality restaurants in Australia but it is well worth a visit.

If you love French food and hospitality then you must visit Sip. We first came to Sip on a recommendation from a work colleague. We then decided this was to be the venue for a family celebration dinner. We stayed in Bali for a week and out of 8 restaurants, it won hands down. The pepper steak is fantastic but the duck is amazing - Sip is sure not to disappoint and I would go back in a heartbeat.

We were blown away by the food at Sip. A bit pricy but well worth a special
Night out. We started with the foie GRAS and the crab ravioli, outstanding. then I had the slow cooked lamb shoulder which was divine and my husband had the pork shank which he said was the best he had eaten. A nice French rose to go with it and we were in heaven. Can't wait to go back!

Quenelles, foie gras and andouillette this is probably your best and safest bet in town.
They know how to choose it, cook it and serve it.
The price is what to be expected for imported ingredients.
To me it's worth a visit, once in a while, but I am French so I am not sure how this appeals to other nationalities eating habits !
