“Fabulous villa for large family holidy”
Reviewed April 13, 2017 for a stay in April 2017

I recently stayed at this beautifully appointed villa tucked away in the back-streets of Korobokan (taxi drivers do not know where this is). Our driver was not at the airport to pick us up and as we had no phone, we could not contact him, hence we took a blue taksi - 2 hours later we finally reached our destination. The photos of the villa do not lie - it is gorgeous - beds very comfortable; however the best part of our stay was the warm, friendly and absolutely amazing staff. Komang is a brilliant cook; Puti and Reni were wonderful and the guys were always around to help, but in no way obtrusive. They looked after our family so well, I would definitely recommend this villa to friends and would go back in a heartbeat.

Loved this large villa on the outskirts of Seminyak. Large garden and nice view with rice paddies. Easy commute to Seminyak within 15 minutes. Staff was really helpful

“Perfect balinese retreat in the loveliest villa only a few minutes from Seminyak life!”
Reviewed July 20, 2016 for a stay in April 2016

As soon as we walk through the balinese antic frontdoor of Villa Alea, we are immersed in the quietness and harmony arising from the typical indonesian Villa, its gorgeous tropical garden and very welcoming staff! The Villa is very tastefully chic designed yet being child-easy and friendly. The surroundings are quite unique with the pool plunging into rice fields, allowing perfect relaxation in Balinese atmosphere. Each room and ensuite bathroom are charming and comfortable offering a beautiful view on pool, lawns and rice fields as well. We spent wonderful holidays at Villa Alea enjoying the delicious food prepared by the staff always nice and helpful. Villa Alea is very well located few minutes away from Seminyak life, beach and restaurants, yet being very peaceful. We really recommend Villa Alea for an exclusive Balinese retreat!

“An Oasis in the middle of the bustling action”
Reviewed May 27, 2016 for a stay in March 2016

Villa Alea, is well hidden within the busy streets of Semyniak, a little tough to find but having been picked up from the airport this was not an issue for us. The place is so quiet and it overlooks a beautiful rice field that is really hard to believe one is so close to all the noise and action of Semyniak!
It is well laid out around the main dining lounge area in an lovely open air concept. Nicely decorated with fine touches it really made us not wanting to move! The staff is attentive and always helpful, rich breakfast is provided. We also used their chef twice for dinner and we we impressed by the variety of dishes. Serving 7 is not easy!

Only downside I can mention is that two bedroom are upstairs so guests have to walk up/down steps to get to their rooms. On the flip side the right one has even better views into the rice field!

Would certainly consider going back next time!
Eucharisto villa Alea!

“First stay in Bali ... we will come back for sure !”
Reviewed May 16, 2016 for a stay in May 2016

We were talking about bali for 7 years ( since we moved from Paris to Sydney) . Glad we finally did it
Dewa, the driver of the villa came to the airport ( first for my wife and kids ) and then for me and drove us to the villa. First I wasn't sure when we entered this small lane, where could a ricefield be in the block of house ??
But then we arrived to this driveaway and eventually we opened the door to the villa.
Very nice building with clear wood, open large lounge/dining area with the view on the infinity pool and the ricefield.
The master room was very spacious, 2 different area in the bathroom for my wife and I and a nice bath tube outside.
Unfortunately we didn't enjoy it as we prefered to go in the other block with 4 bedroom to be closer to our kids bedroom.
Safe box in all the bedroom, keys to lock them at night if you want, plug adaptor for international traveller, wifi available everywhere ... nothing was missing.
The mattress were really good which is something I value a lot !

One thing to be carefull with are the stairs to go to the pool. Apparently there is a baby gate available but we didn't know and didn't ask so we had to be carefull with my 1yo son.

The pool was perfect for my 3yo son as a good 2-3 meters out of the 15 were shallow enough for him. Even my 1yo son enjoyed it.
Lots of toys ( inflatable shars, duck, boats, ...) were very welcome by my sons.
The lounge was also aprreciated by my wife !
The view of the ricefield was really relaxing, it was all quite quiet.

Then we met Komang, the chef of the villa. She has been wonderfull during the whole week. The food was delicious, the breakfast various ( french toast, pancakes, lots of fruits, toast with eggs ...). It was so good that we went only once outside for dinner and couple of time for lunch
Even for her birthday, my wife prefered to stay and have a lobster bbq.
And it is cheap. You pay mainly for the groceries and we ended up paying around 180AUD of ood for the week.
She also took care of my younger son many times as she enjoyed his giggling and smiles and as we enjoyed some calm during our lunch

Dewa, the driver/guide, shared his knowledge of the island and brought us to uluwatu, ubud, tanah lot, bali safari ... and help us to go around the stone carver.
He was amazing and bonded quickly with my older son. Even managed to put him on the scooter for a ride.

The garden was very neat with the gardener taking care of it everyday.
The housekeeping was keeping the bedroom tidy
The security outside was re assuring and very friendly

We walked a bit around the villa. Not much to see. There is some ATM, wine house 10-15m walking away. There is also a creperie around the corner but we didn't try it
10min drive and you are in Seminyak square

We will definitely come back, more likely with friends or family. The villa is clearly big enough for 2 families with kids
