“Hidden Gem”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 9, 2014

This place is not easy to find and we got lost on the way. It was the second time that I have been here with the first being about 3 years ago.

It did not disappoint, it was exactly the same. If you go at night you can take advantage of the great garden setting which sets a great mood if you are dinning with your partner.

They have a mix of indo/western foods on the menu and a good selection of cocktails and drinks.

Once you are seated they even bring insect repellant to your table, which is a great touch.

We had the Chicken Lumpia, Gado Gado & Veitnemese Spring rolls as starters and the Mie Goreng and Nasi Goreng for mains. I would recommend the Chicken Lumpia for starters it was amazing. In saying that the Nasi Goreng was also the best that I have ever had.

This place is well priced, I think it came to about 409K for two of us with the above meals, 2 cocktails and 2 beers.

I recommend this place as it has a fantastic vibe about it & you wont be disappointed

We are planning on going back before we fly out next week.

“Nice garden setting but better around”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 3, 2014 via mobile

We had a pleasant meal here but there is better around for the same price. Having said this, the menu is quite varied and if you are staying locally and want something nearby this is a pretty good choice.

“Cute setting and tasty food..”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 21, 2014 via mobile

We wandered Waroeng Bonita close to closing time just after arriving from the airport, our main reason for choosing it being that it was right near our villa.

I'm glad we snuck in, because it was a beautiful place to dine! Lovely outdoor setting with lanterns and comfy tables, mosquito repellent for the itchy types and yummy drinks.

Having just got off the plane we went for just light meals. The squid starter was small but had a lovely flavour, while the bask goreng and Ayam chicken was tasty- although more chilli was needed. As usual extra chilli was served up by the plates so we added to our taste.

Not too pricey and tasty food- if we were staying a bit longer we definitely would have returned and we'll be back next time we visit!

“average meal”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 23, 2014

The restaurant is located on the bend of Jl. Petitenget opposite Taman Ayu. Their signage is very small and hard to find. Menu consists of Indonesian and Western dishes. Very reasonable price and portion quite generous. 6 of us visited on Monday night so there were not many people around.

We ordered soup buntut, beef rendang, pumpkin soup, banana fritter and creme brulee. I found rendang a bit too salty and the creme brulee, custard was not good (scramble egg) and the top part was not torched enough to give that crack sound when you tap with the spoon. My friend soup buntut was very nice and tender. Their mixed drinks are interesting and refreshing especially on a humid night.

Service was friendly and prompt. They helped us get a blue bird taxi at the end of our meal. Sitting outdoor in the garden area with low lighting can be a bit challenging for some people to read the menu. The undercover area near the bar is well lit. Bring insect repellant if you are allergic to mosquito bites as the restaurant is open air.
