I'm not sure if this is the same markets that the other reviews are talking about. It opens about 9 am and closes about 9 or 10 pm. Is a lovely little market, filled with all the usual Bali delights of sarongs, tshirts, lots of clothing, carvings , souvenirs etc. yes you can get cheaper in Kuta, but they don't hound you or follow you at this market, it's pretty laid back and cruisey. I liked it and enjoyed my time shopping there. I got a few things there I didn't see anywhere else so that's great !
The market is situated in the Kata Ayu food Village in Seminyak not far from The Oberoi, so you get to choose some where great to eat after shopping..win win!

The market is very close to the hotel where we were staying. The place is nice but not a lot of options to bring to our country.

There is so much great shopping in Legian and Kuta Im not sure why you would go to Seminyak Night Market..the selection and number of stalls is limited but its very handy for people staying in the local area...perfectly nice but there's bigger and better shops elsewhere.

We were sorely disappointed when we reached the market at about 10 pm. Everything was closing or have already closed and the entire market looked deserted - I mean, it was supposed to be a night market, how can a night market be closed by 10 pm? Needless to say, we left almost immediately.
