Delicious authentic Balinese food. Have been here twice and both times nice friendly staff, quick service and good food. Satay sticks on charcoal burners on tables, nice presentation, chilled refreshing face cloths and free nibbles on arrival.
Not in the most attractive setting - a car park with flea market - but nice to be off the busy road.
3 Bintangs, a whole fish, mixed sate sticks, chicken salad, rice, sambals, lemonade, all for about AUD $28.

This is a small local restaurant very close to the Oberoi Hotel. It's hidden behind a market but it's well worth seeking out. The food is excellent.

Truly authentic Balinese food at this cosy, out of the way little restaurant.

It's worth the effort to take a walk from the 'main drag' and head around the corner to Sate Bali.

We had combination sate's as well as the sauted prawns in chilli sauce along with beautiful mixed vegetables, water lettuce and beans with garlic and chilli. Fantastic flavours!

Three types of rice on offer - white, yellow and Balinese and as much as you want of all three!

The flavours were brilliant, washed down with a couple of Bintang beers, it was a truly relaxing night.

Oh, and there's a flea market just next door if you want to head off for some local wares, t-shirts, the usual trinkets.

Highly recommended and dinner was around AU$30 for two including beers!!

We went to this restaurant on Sunday 24/02 on recommendation from a friend and enjoyed a delicious indo lunch, we then decided we would come back on our last night (25/02) in Bali for their rijsttafel.
What a disappointing mistake, the meal was ok, the staff were distracted (we were their only customers, and it was about 6:30pm) we had to ask constantly for a drink and then remind them after ten minutes or so as they had forgotten. As we were their only customers and they were open for the evening I am not sure why three staff could not look after two customers. My husband gave up waiting for a beer in the end and we paid the bill and left. Maybe they were just having a bad night, not sure just disappointing for our last meal in Bali.

Delicious & affordable traditional Indonesian place to go for dinner after Ku De Ta cocktails at sunset. Very sweet staff. They had a gamelan player the night we were there, was a nice touch.
