“Great for lunch”
Reviewed April 1, 2013

We stumbled upon Warung Ocha's and really enjoyed it so went back several times during our recent trip to Bali. The food was great (particularly the wraps) and we liked the casual atmosphere. Our only negative feedback would be that at times the service could be a little slow (food), however it was not bad enough to prevent us from going back. Definitely worth visiting - great value and reliable food.

“Average lunch”
Reviewed March 28, 2013 via mobile

Tried the following:
1) Chicken sate: grilled chicken breast with peanut sauce. Peanut sauce was very nice, and blended well with the chicken pieces.
2) Gado Gado: assorted vegetables in a spicy peanut sauce. Same peanut sauce mixed into the veggies, would have been nicer if they had more sauce mixed in.
3) Nasi campur:I ordered the beef rendang and squid with white rice. Beef slightly dry and tough, squid only average.
4) Ayan goreng kecap: fried chicken with sweet black sauce. The sweet sauce was good and went well with the fried chicken, just at the chicken was fried slightly too long and was dry at some parts.

Overall, I would only rate this as an average establishment, considering I'm an Asian. Didn't try any western dishes though. Total bill came up to approx SGD24. Not exactly cheap for local food.

“Reviews all over the place...”
Reviewed March 27, 2013

Not sure why the reviews of Warung Ocha (not "Ocha's") are so different. This is NOT a local's Warung. The food is definitely NOT cheap and NOT so authentic. But the atmosphere is great, with a nice garden out back and good free Wifi.

Warung Ocha serves good Indonesia-style food much more tailored to Western tastes and prices. I spent the morning there working today, and the service was friendly, the Wifi worked well, and the food was nice. But I spent considerably more than I would spend at a "true" local warung. RP 10,000 for nasi champur ayam vs. RP 35,000 there.

But that's not the point. Go to Warung Ocha if you want a good wholesome meal and don't mind paying a bit more for a more "Western" experience and/ or nice place to enjoy free Wifi and a refreshing beverage and/ or meal.

“Nice place for indonesian & international food”
Reviewed March 22, 2013

Went here for lunch a day after Nyepi while most of other places were still closed. The place was nice and has this Indonesian food buffet where you can choose and pick your own kind of dishes. The western food is not bad too, I ordered grilled mahi mahi fish with vegetables and it was good. The price is quite reasonable for such quality. The service is good and very helpful too. Would love to come back here for another bite of good food with reasonable price.

“ok but nothing amazing”
Reviewed March 22, 2013 via mobile

went there on local guy's recommendation. i had Nasi Campur, yes was ok. nothing wrong with it. but I've been having Nasi Campur everywhere in Bali, 60k for an average one felt a bit pricey. normally you can have very tasty one for 30k. it's on prime location so maybe that's why. not so friendly waitress, almost over charged me ( do check the receipt) and wifi didn't work. the place is clean and airy. as I said there's nothing wrong with it. it's just in Bali there's so many nice places where you can eat inexpensively with lovely friendly service that this place didn't get my thumbs up. I usually only review places I love but thought people should know when the place is so so as well!
