“Great find”
Reviewed May 8, 2013

We loved the rustic/traditional setting. The food was delicious. Everything was made with care. I particularly loved the homemade cordials. The kids enjoyed climbing the tree house while we had starters. Definitely recommended.

“Real find in Wellington”
Reviewed May 8, 2013

On a trip to the Wellington wine route this restaurant was recommended and it turned out to be a real find. High quality produce and very well prepared food. The atmosphere is so relaxed and the owner and staff friendly and accommodating.

Although the menu is small making a choice is difficult becuase everything is so tempting. The frozen slow cooked foodstuffs are equally tempting and a really nice way to stock up on some lovely food for home use.

Wines from the area feature prominantly on the winelist and the pricing thereof is certainly reasonable. The restaurant is about an hour's drive from the City and well worth a trip in the countryside.

“Fresh local produce”
Reviewed April 17, 2013

Being a Wellington resident Twist is one of the favorites, always friendly and welcoming, sit under the oak tree in summer or around the fire place in winter. Food is a deliciously tasty and freshly prepared with the usage of local ingredients. Black board menu changes regularly so there is always something new to discover. Oh, and the chocolate fondant is a must for chocaholics!

“Creative and exciting food.”
Reviewed February 25, 2013

I just loved their creativity on the menu. The food was fresh, very tasty with portions that were just the right size. Service very proffessional. Owner Johaan gave Twist a very personal touch that is always so special.I would have given 5 stars but the surroundings do not come up to the standard of the food and service. Good value for money.

“Lovely Lunch”
Reviewed January 18, 2013

We were looking for a nice place to have a light Sunday luch with our two kids in/around Wellington and stumbled on this perfect restaurant. It has a very rustic and homely atmosphere, while the food and service were of a very high standard. We chose to sit outside under a big tree where we could watch the kids play in the tree house and sand pit. Will definately recommend this restaurant for a a family outing with excellent food and atmosphere.
