A peaceful and tranquil setting in a great wine area of South Africa. Excellent bungalow accommodation.
Only used restaurant for breakfast which was good and plentiful.
The spa was good and the staff knew what they were doing .
Beautiful surroundings and very close to other vineyards. Als near to othe attractions.

Room Tip: All cottages seemed equal in decoration just some bigger than others .

I visited the spa of this facility and was very impressed. Very tranquil setting, well sign posted. Service was excellent and they were able to help me for a wax treatment on short notice. The therapist was very friendly and did a job "well done".

We really enjoyed our 1 night stay at the Lodge. The room was lovely, spacious and private. We enjoyed the outside jaccuzi and the breakfast was superb. All the staff were very friendly and warm towards us. We both had a neck and back massage that was very relaxing. Thank you very much for the warm welcome that we received. We enjoyed our stay thoroughly.

Beautiful place with friendly staff. The facilities are in good shape. The only thing missing was the water in the swimming pool which would have been enjoyable on a hot day. Good experience overall though!

The cottages are a lovely shabby chic and the beds are really comfortable. TV didn't work but not a big deal. Only had breakfast which was not very good. The service was a bit of a let down also. Very reactive and didn't seem very switched on. Overall with the view and bed it was a nice stay. Staff need to be a bit more aware.

We spent two evenings at this guest house in late May. It is located by the peaceful town of Wellington in the cape wine lands surrounded by magnificent views of mountains and vineyards. We stayed in 1 of the 4 cottages which had a view of those dramatic mountains and vineyards from the private veranda. The light and airy cottages have a wonderful "aged effect" of provence style shabby chic and the creaky floor boards add to the charm. Caro provided us with a sumptuous dinner the night we arrived after treating us to a wine tasting of local wines. The public areas are varied and include a delightful dining room that overlooks an open pasture with horses grazing. The gardens are lush and fragrant creating a setting that defines peace and tranquility. The popular spa has very affordable treatments and includes a stunning canopied treatment room complete with koi pond. The central location is just down the road from historic Bain's Kloof Pass, 25 minutes from Franshhoek and a 45 minute drive from Cape Town. Carol, the manager, couldn't be more welcoming and personable. Highly recommended fro a relaxing get away!

We spent an evening at this Lodge a short while back. We were shown to the Master suite but unfortunately it was not what we expected. We could not open the door or windows as they were frosted over, which made me feel a little cramped. We decided to make a nice cup of tea to settle in but unfortunately there was no kettle. When the kettle arrived I found that my glass was dirty. All a little unsettling and then to crown it all there was no remote so the T.V. did not work as well. However, it all turned out well as the lady who was the chef came to our assistance and offered us a cottage instead. The cottage was really cute and spacious and we were glad to move in there. I would recommend the cottages to anyone as they are really comfortable and surrounded by a lovely garden. One little point that I feel I must mention is that the cleaning lady was already in our bedroom after we came back from breakfast which was a little unsettling as I would of preferred going to the bathroom without knowing that there was another person in the cottage.
Would I go back there? Yes I would as I am sure that these little grievances could easily be sorted out.

Room Tip: The cottages.
