We stayed for one night at Lang Elsie’s Kraal Rest Camp in Bontebok National Park. The park is quite small for a national park in South Africa and home to the endangered Bontebok which is easy to spot in the park. The rest camp offers ten new chalets, all with en-suite bathrooms, two beds, sofa and kitchen. On the patio you will find a braai. Our chalet was overlooking the Breede river. The park was quite empty and apart from a camper we were the only guests in a chalet. We´ve had a very quiet, relaxing stay.
There are little provisions in the visitor centre, so it is best to shop food in Swellendam before entering the park. The park offers good accomodation along the Garden Route to Cape Town and I can fully recommend it.
