We used Swellendamas a base to visit De Hoop nature reserve and a stop off on the way to Franshhoek. This old parsonage had loads of character and a warm welcoming feel. The rooms are very large and comfortable. Our bathroom was the size of a decent London apartment! The host Tersia made us very welcome and provided a lovely breakfast and lots of good advice and thanks to a quick bit of culinary training now offers poached eggs on the menu! The town itself is very nice, and well located for the garden route. Definitely recommend it.
