We're regular customers in Somerset West and the whole Western Cape, spending our yearly Belgian winter months in South Africa.
Absolutely delighted with this new restaurant in Somerset West (on the route to Stellenbosch): food, service, setting were all perfect! Despite very short notice, the staff did everything in their power to accommodate us so that we could celebrate a special occasion. Even though a rainy day and too cool to sit on the spectacular deck outside, the atmosphere inside, in front of the fireplace, was very pleasant. The décor was ultra-modern and tasteful and we had no problems with the noise level mentioned in earlier reviews. The food and wine were outstanding, and the bill - though not exactly cheap for South African standards - was very good value for money for us spoiled Europeans. Only one hiccup: very difficult to make a telephonic reservation. Hope that will be sorted out next year because we'll definitely be back next January-March.
