While reading the reviews on Tripadvisor, one can notice that, with the odd exception, the Jenna Viva ‘fanclub’ is growing rapidly. And after being there a couple of times in a row recently, they can add another member to the 'club'.
Don’t expect a fancy restaurant, but do expect a cosy place with very good food and excellent service.
While entering the premises there is a friendly welcome by a staff member and you are guided to your table. The menu offers a nice choice to everyone’s likes and although I haven’t tasted it yet, I am convinced that their sushi will be good too.
Recently I had dinner with a friend. On this weekday quite a few guests had already started to fill up the main part of the restaurant, creating a nice buzz. My dinner partner chose the lamb shank which he complimented with high marks. I had the burger, cooked to perfection combined with crispy chips and mayonnaise, as requested. I ordered a Sterhuis Chardonnay just like last time, which is fabulous. Unfortunately, our friendly waiter returned with the message that this was sold out. When I expressed my disappointment, the manager of the restaurant immediately stepped in offering me to replace this with a (slightly more expensive) Waterford Chardonnay at the same price of the Sterhuis. A gesture which tells a thousand words about the service one can expect here.
Well done Jenna Viva, and we’ll be back soon!
